Its very possible that someone else in the writing room was aware of the joke and contributed a lot to its inception or its execution... so it probably was stollen and dicky didnt even realize.

If you watch the Theo clip from Rogan's podcast, it's not like it's a well-formed joke he spent any time on, he's just kinda riffing a story. Or maybe it's a real story, IDK. Then they look at Google images of wooden shirts. So, it's not like it was an original concept when Theo first said it. Don't understand why he got so upset about it.

It seems kind of petty. Most comics talk about the same topics and you can always find someone else talking about something specific as well. The wooden shirt thing is, isn’t even that memorable. Theo should come up with more examples. it’s possible it was stolen but also possible that it’s just a coincidence. Neither of them invented the concept of a wooden shirt.

Andrew walked away from that conversation saying "he definitely stole that joke." The thing about dave is that his persona is very much like a Larry David where he is presenting as an exaggerated version of himself but i personally think he is probably a lot more calculated than he attempts to come across... I also think Andrew clocked that within 5 minutes of meeting him. Idk theres a disingenuous vibe about him and I feel like it was hilighted when he told Andrew to set up a meeting between him and Theo in a sort of condescending way. He also stated that woodin clothing is a broad subject matter ... Which is obviously false in the physical universe we occupy.

Check out a Theo Von compilation, it’s excellent, don’t listen to all these hating wannabes talkin Theo is great. He has a podcast called “This Past Weekend” he did one with Tim Dillon yesterday that was maybe the best comedic podcast I’ve ever watched. Another great one is with Druski, the ones with Bobby Lee can be pretty great, he’s had so many excellent guests but the ones that kinda catch on to his humor are the best.

Hey man I get it Theo and Shultz are coming at it from a comedian’s perspective. Where stealing jokes is a big deal which makes perfect sense. But Lil Dicky is a rapper or at least was first introduced to audiences as a rapper. Sure he has a show on tv now that is considered a comedy. This in no way puts lil dicky in the same world as other comedians. So it’s not like lil dicky jumped on stage and just started doing Theo’s bits.
