You inspired me to go out of my comfort zone and I used the cornflower blue and light yellow Byredo shadows, with the Navy eyeshadow as a liner. First time in 50 years of wearing blue eyeshadow. No one noticed.

I picked up the Dior lilac blush, the compact is smaller than I thought. I have the Lavender powder from a couple years ago that I haven't opened, it should be fine while I finish a Givenchy box. For the Chanel, I can get the the spring cool shades from other products, like the mauve blush from last fall. I'm not really feeling a summer look yet, this spring's makeup has a longer season this year with winter being so mild. Our lilacs are just blooming now 🌸🪻🌷

Jen, I fell for a lipstick my mother owned when still quite young. Naturally, I acquiesced this and finished it off. It was a violet/purple shade. I have been on the lookout ever since for a replacement and hence become an expert in the area of what is purple or pink. Nothing at all from Dior falls under the banner of remotely being lilac and I do wish that this was made clear to everyone before rushing out and wasting money on yet another pink product. There has been only ONE luxury product that can be called lilac that I have discovered and this is Rabanne's Lovebalm in Toxic Lips which is a beautiful creamy texture that does show minimal colour on the lips, yet more than Dior's pinks. As far as blush is concerned, you will most likely only find a purple/lilac shade in Indie Brands. I own two Glow Blushes from Lethal Cosmetics which are of impeccable quality and one is still available. I just hate to see everyone rushing to all look exactly the same. Doesn't anyone remember the lilac shade in ABH's Nouveau Eye Palette? Why buy another when most still own this? I have endless true lilac shades in my vast collection but you won't find a true lilac shade in luxury beauty, except for the rare expection. As for that beautiful Dior Backstage Eye Palette in what was formally Cool Neutrals, this has been killed off due to their reformulation obsession and replaced by a totally different colour story in Smokey Essentials. If anyone is able to find the orginal Dior Custom Palette, Cool and Warm Neutrals, then I would highly recommend these as they will not be returning. The other two regular palettes of Amber (No.3) and Rosewood (No.4) Neutrals are yet to be culled and their colour stories changed too, so this is the time to buy these if interested. I have no idea why Dior felt it necessary to change the colour stories as it can be seen how beautiful the culled Cool Neutrals is on Jen and in the palette. I do wish that everyone simply wore what appeals to them and not to get caught up in hype. We all look better in the colours that suit us and not always will the trend of the moment suit everyone. I will never forget having to explain to one who got caught up in hype and purchased an item that she had no idea how to use, just what you could be done with it. Please, only buy for yourselves and what is affordable to your price bracket. I set myself limits on how much I am willing to pay for items and that's okay, as it is for everyone. Hi Jennifer! Lilac is indeed a great spring-summer shade. I think you will like Chanel’s ombre essentielle in lilac - it’s in the matte formula and it looks great with the topper shade in Blanc Perle. The Chanel palette you featured is the only cool-toned version in this collection. I tried it in-store, and I opted instead for the new Guerlain meteorites in 04 - the shade is similar but it’s much easier to get a light bronzed-skin effect with the Meteorites (and whereas the Chanel version is matte, the Meteorites impart a subtle glow - furthermore, I love the Meteroites’ new fragrance). Thank you for doing this timely video.

Honestly, if you don’t have a cool-tone gloss or lip oil already, they don’t really differ on application: but the# Guerlain honey 🍯 oil is a better lip oil… I would get the Dior deep violet, or the Guerlain

You’ve done a couple of these very fresh spring looks lately and they are beautiful on you. Glowing, healthy, with just that bit of polish from subtle sheen on the eyes and the light lip. I’ll def try to replicate this. For someone older (me not you!) getting that clean youthful look is nirvana.

I have the new Chanel lilac and have the old Ombre Premiere in a darker purple (part of the old color lineup). They work great together. I’ve been obsessed with those single eyeshadows for a while… :(

The lilac maximizer is my favourite of all the products. I ordered the tone up in apricot and it looks sooo good!
