I was at her house a few times in the 90s. They've since moved out of it, but the chair and the rocker really did sit by the swimming pool. I've always been in complete awe of this woman.

I revisited this site a few moments ago and I loved the last line . I went to the comment section and I realized that the last entry was one of mine 5 yrs ago . I was about to type in the same comment . I’m that very second I realized that I wasn’t just a collection of momentary reactions . My view, my sense of what tickled me was real because I had had the same reaction 5 years ago . Lily helped me to see that I am me and that I’m not a collection of unrelated feelings rather a definite person with a view. It’s very reassuring for it proves to myself that what I love about Lily is something I admire about myself - that in many ways the mold was destroyed and there will never be another me or another Lily .

As a kid I loved her character Edith Ann in the rocking chair. I thought it was the funniest thing ever. I've watched a few recently, now in my 40s, and I still laugh at some of the stuff. I'm pretty sure I didn't get all the jokes when I was just a kid.

@yetanotheraccount2re Dawn French is straight and was married to fellow comic actor Lenny Henry for 25 years (they divorced in 2010). Saunders has been married to fellow comic actor Adrian Edmondson since 1985 and they have three kids together. I don't believe this is exactly the same model as Lily and Jane (yes, I'm being sarcastic).
