This video covers a couple of hands that I played recently regarding Limit Omaha hi and Limit Omaha hi/lo and examples of what to do and what not to do. Normally I cover PLO, but I felt like playing Limit; it was close to where I live, and its a bankroll builder! Please lmk what you think in this video if you like it, hate it, etc! Tyvm for tuning in! I also won't be posting a video for about two weeks as I'll be in Iowa for the WSOP Circuit Event, then a brief stop in Vegas, then the MUG with Donkfish at the Hustler.

Excellent stuff! "Grew up" on limit poker, and first O8 was a 6/12 with kill to 10/20. Beautiful way to build a bankroll. Unfortunately now the only consistent game is a 4/8 with half kill, but the rake eats away to make it truly a grind. Occasionally a 10/20 or 15/30 will get spread, but it takes some work to get it scheduled. Often will get 2 tables, but it only happens about every other month. Still love the content, PLO is still available daily, but I do miss the old days and easier money.

@@TeeheeFr0g2 did you suggest they start watching my videos from episode 1? A lot of times if you even start off small (like a 1-1 PLO with a 300 max buy in) that can get the ball rolling. That second hand is tough for him if you are very aggressive. The 3 should probably convince him to go ahead and fold because it is a big part of a raising range. If the flop were, for example, 77J, now I think he might just have to call you down due to the fact that you might bet a J or an overpair or simply bluff 3 streets.

Next Time I’m in a limit game I’ll see if I find any of those spots. I am pretty good at reading people - especially when it comes to limit so it’s rare that I have a tough spot to call (usually it’s if there is 1000 in the pot and the river bet is 20 or 30 and I’m just getting such good odds) Ty for watching and the question. I’ll see if I run into that situation

@@ploprofessor I really like the tutorial videos as well. Lots of great information to take in and mull over. I will add one comment and not trying to be critical, but I think you use "effective" sometimes when you mean "approximate". When talking effective stack size, it is always the smallest stack that is the "effective" between 2 stacks. At least that is how I understand the term being used in poker.

Appreciate the hand walkthroughs and insights. I’m still contemplating whether or not to play a $600 FLO8 tournament down at the WPT circuit event in Hollywood, FL in November. They also have a PLO8 event I plan on playing. Unfortunately I won’t be there for the PLO Hi events which sucks. I’ll mainly be looking for some good PLO cash games and will use your tips and advice.

Did you say how much bankroll to start with for 4/8 hi only with 1/2 kill?
@ploprofessor
@ploprofessor Жыл бұрын
First of great question! For any limit game you only need about 10x the buy in. So…. For a 4-8 hi only with 1/2 kill I’d probably buy in for 160-200 (20-25 big bets). So to be properly bankrolled for that game you should have about a 2k bankroll. Ty for asking and Ty for watching.

The pot started off with 210 and if there is a 30 bet - that means someone needs to call 30 in order to win 240.
