Hi There,
Welcome to the Upcycle Design Lab. I like to craft with recycled, repurposed, and unwanted materials. If you enjoy reusing repairing and re-imagining old items, I hope you will stick around and check out some of my Upcycling tutorials.
I do also occasionally do product reviews usually crafting tools or items that are intended to reduce waste. But we have four big dogs and two cats so I am always on the lookout for any product that can help me tackle the [et hair problem In this video, I will test the fur zapper. Check out my video to find out it performs.
If you would like to check out my upcycling craft ideas please visit upcycledesignlab.com/

Thank you for doing this review, it's so hard to find anything that works and the companies that make these items are hoping that once we buy them and realize they don't work that we won't be bothered to return them... Which I'm usually not lol. I have two Akbash dogs that luckily only shed twice a year - January through June and July through December - and I've found the best thing for me is to just get a regular old "yellow rubber" glove damp and wipe it over whatever I'm trying to defuzz. I use the sticky tape rollers too for my clothes but for bigger items the yellow glove works great!

Thanks the tip. We have four dogs and two cats and a constant stream of hair. It's a losing battle for the humans most days. 🙂

Isn't that just shedding throughout the whole year if it's January to June and July to December? Also, that isn't logical since the akbash constantly shed.

Could you try the dryer sheets that are meant for dog hair

I'm thinking they might have worked much better in a larger washing machine where the bed can move around more.

Hi thanks for your comment. I could use a bigger washer for a lot of things 🙂 I also thought it might have helped to have a few more of the fur zappers.

@@UpcycleDesignLab Couldn't we all use a bigger washer LOL?! Yes, probably so on more zappers.

Use a squeegee to remove pet hair. Works great on carpet, furniture and stairs too.

Could you wash them off by rinsing in a bowl or bucket or water? Then you can dump the water outside? Idk thinking of purchasing but so many mixed reviews!

Hi thanks for your question. They are kind of sticky so they are a little difficult to wash off. Also after using them for a while they seem to lose the stickiness so I am not sure if they even do anything at that point. I can't really recommend them but they are inexpensive so you could give them a try.

You can rinse them in the bathroom sink as long as you have a hair catcher or something like that then you could just dump the hair out in the trash

the FUR ZAPPER team truly stands behind their product 👍👍 Just Be Sure: ☑DO N O T USE SOFTNERS OR DRYER SHEETS ✅Always stay C o n s i s t a n t: USE THE YELLOW ONE IN THE WASHER and THE GREEN ONE IN THE DRYER (or vice versa)

@tomolyn8108 It’s exactly the part of using the product, that requires you NOT to use any fabric softener, nor dryer sheets, that is severely holding me back from even **considering** this product. With our laundry, it is quite the hassle to have to separate those few “no fabric softener” items from the rest of the laundry, and have to wash them in a completely separate cycle. As this appears to be a product that forces you NOT use fabric softener, nor dryer sheets, in pretty much EVERY load…..unfortunately, this will not be good fit for our family. Do you happen to know of any similar products that do not have this truly bothersome requirement?

That is such a large dog bed and maybe the size of the bed matters?

Maybe if you use 4 instead of two. Or maybe even u used 6 of them. Try making videos using 4 and see if it helps more or same. So then people will know to use 4 or 6 to get it really clean. ✌️

what a dumb test.. why would use use a bug ass dog bed that doesnt freely move around in a washer and dryer. the entire surface area of the clothing is supposed to tumble and at some point come into physical contact with the furzapper. that dog bed is wedged in there and is just going to spin with the dryer.

Not a good review. Use regular clothes. Not some giant as dog bed that doesn’t move at all in the washer

a dog bed?? I don't think they ever claim that 2 would work on a very hairy, large dog bed. I think it's meant for CLOTHES
