The mileage isn't bad at all. My in laws still own their 2009 and now passed it down to one of their daughters. prob around 150k miles and still kicking, no issues. We still have 2 2011 with around 40k miles and we are lucky to still have them under warranty. Otherwise maintenance costs would go through the roof. In 6 months, I had a new battery, brake rotors and pads, new front struts and rear shocks, and some power steering repair. I spend a lot of time cleaning and treating the leather and the paint but I am glad I don't need to worry about anything electrical or mecanical. Oout here shops bill around 120 an hour ...

Sad to see the end of the road come with your Town Car. I have been watching your videos almost from the beginning and always enjoyed watching your experiences and attempts to fix things. You made it almost 4 years with it. For me that is pretty good. That is the longest I’ve ever kept a car as I get bored with mine and want something new. As the industry continues to get more and more bland and shifts more and more away from comfort and style for technology and economy I may no longer care to trade in for something new as cars IMO get less and less desirable and more and more expensive. I’m glad you decided on an American make even though it may be built in Mexico for all I know. I like to see people buy American cars.

well this would be a great starter car for someone new to the panther platform. but that rust and starting issue along with the non working defrost are key issues up north where it gets very cold. good luck. you will miss it.

Nice to see you are still posting Lincoln videos. For a couple of grand you will find a cash buyer who just needs a car. You spent your money, you had your fun, life moves on. I know its crusty underneath, but the buyer will likely mostly care that it starts and doesn't leak fluids. For a couple of bucks you can get a spray can of matching paint from an auto parts store or online to make the rusty wheel arch slightly less unsightly. Best wishes, good luck.

I just replaced my air suspension on my 07 with strutmaster conversion. Sits factory height and I don’t notice any difference. I have good Michelins on it tho so that may help

Have you tried using AUTO button for defrost? My 2007 Signature Limited (72,000mi) seems to take care of all functions. These last generation Town Cars will last forever when properly maintained. I will never let mine go. Thanks for mentioning your solution to sagging driver seat. Mine is starting to sag.

If you sell it, sell it. You had good times and bad with this Lincoln town car. You have a growing family. You need a car more up to date, safe, and get much better gas mileage. Gas prices aren't getting any cheaper. Where I'm at (Fort Wayne Indiana) it was $3.09 for a minute. Now it's at $3.49 a gallon for regular.

We had an issue like that on a nissan xterra, it ended up being a ground. They messed with the transmission etc... and if you put in neutral it would start etc but then not always. Just curious if it could be similar issue.

I was thinking about getting one of these to take 1000 mile trips. Not good idea? I thought as long as you keep the drivetrain up to date, it shouldn't break down unexpectedly. Though I'm used to Toyota/Lexus since GM dropped their 3800s
