How you made caps to go harder in the block? Weldig or?

Was there an issue putting the main caps side bolts in considering the caps are lowered?

Nice fix, but was the problem that created that issue also fixed? Or was it just bad maintenance/lack of oil changes? The bottom end of these engines seem to be pretty solid if maintenance is kept up.
