To mark this landmark, I’ve added a little introduction from me in which I turn the camera round so you can see the face behind the pen...hope it’s not too traumatic.
The subject of today’s demonstration is the far end of the harbour at Staithes - a place which is very special to me, having been at the annual Festival of Arts there for 5-6 years, until the 2020 event( and the 2021 festival) fell victim to the COVID-19 pandemic....fingers crossed that we’ll be able to meet up again in 2022.
In this tutorial, I’m attempting to explain my process in using selective watercolour to add focus - much of that trickery will come with the next stage- adding watercolour washes.
