Hi John, just taken delivery of your new book, and I am currently reading it (at midnight. I couldn't wait til tomorrow!). I can't tell why you were so proud of it at your class I attended in Huddersfield last month. It is definitely going to be my favourite art book. I have booked on your next course at Calderdale Arts so I may have to bring it along just in case I need some top tips! 😊 Thanks again, very happy with my purchase! Cherise

Do you find that loose almost fluid work done with ink sells to western audiences? Especially if someone does more fluid type mixed in with hard edges. For recency I am referring to work similar to a Malaysian Asian Kiah Keene does

So good to watch this. Does Moleskin take wet wash without buckling?

glad to see someone using newspapers/magazines for inspiration. i thought i was being a bit naff but if you can't get out of doors so much. i use them a lot too for portrait sketching because the people are less perfectly posed and there are so many different angles and expressions to try to capture.

Thanks for showing work that doesn't go quite to plan. As you say, we can all learn from it 😊. Good luck with your next attempt 👍 Was that a Seawhite of Brighton watercolour sketch book? Do you think they are better than the Moleskine equivalent?
