ORIGINAL INFO: The death count rises and the audience’s patience falls.
RUMINATIONS: The shots with the Ninja-Style Dancer in the first two parts were done in my apartment floor’s lounge, which was undergoing a bit of renovation at the time, with the lounge area taped off with yellow tape. I figured it’d make for a weird-looking area off on the edges for him to be snooping around for people to be wondering where he was. As I’ve said before, I prefer for three-parters to have some story element going through them, both to keep people interested while I talk about the same comic for multiple weeks as well as build up to something while not wearing out its welcome. I’ve always liked the idea of the Ninja-Style Dancer having his own adventures off-screen. I always envision it being something akin to those 80s-celebrity cartoons, like Mr. T or Chuck Norris where the Ninja-Style Dancer is touring as a backup dancer, but falls into crime capers and the like and must defeat evildoers.
It’s just in this storyline, he found a little more than he had expected.
