Im a New school bus driver and as much as I like the old Diesel engines and how it feels and all, I do think if we’re are trying to get more EVs out there, especially in the commercial field buses are a good first step. Most buses do local routes so distance before charging can be calculated and accounted for and more than likely can do a days work with just one charge.

No one wants them, unless they have conditional government funding… they get tax $ to build a factory and then get orders funded with tax $….

@@lukaspasak7339 I don’t believe this is true. These make sense for the gas and maintenance savings alone. Cleaner air and tax subsidies are the cherry on top. I think our problem right now is production. Build it and they will come…

@@theepichamster1443 their plant in st-jerome is supposedly able to produce 2500 trucks/year… they are deliberately keeping an order book to pretend they have demand

@@lukaspasak7339 I disagree on that one too. I was on a conference call with the City of Los Angeles and they told Nate they will buy anything Lion can produce. They couldn’t even complete 55 units because of parts last quarter. I was hoping 2022 was going to be their year but it seems 2023 is more likely. I will wait. impatiently, but I’ll wait.

Question on charging the bus, we have one for our school in Ca, The charging station is programed to turn off from 12pm until 12 am so when it gets plugged in at around 5pm it is not charging but when the station turns on at midnite the bus will not charge so for example i plugged in around 5pm Fri with SOC at 20% Monday morning it was still 20%, unplug and plug right back in then it will charge, Is there a surge protector built into the bus that is preventing charging when the station turns on.?

hi guys, can you get us a clip of the buses taking off from a stop to full wide open throttle as response? I think it would help show our district people the ability for these to get out of their own way and could help us buy several.
