This video demonstrates how to make connector wires to hookup Lionel Fastrack to power circuits and accessories. An excellent source for the necessary wires and connection terminals is also included. By making your own connector wires, the cost for these essential parts can be cut by approximately 90%. In addition, this video demonstrates how to secure the connector wires to Fastrack sections to prevent loose connections. Finally, this video shows how to connect power to almost any Fastrack section, thus saving the cost of expensive ready made terminal sections. I'm using the Fastrack connector wires that I make on my Polar Express Model Railroad Layout in Traditional O-gauge. This is part of my project to add an elevated third track to the layout. Earlier videos in this series show the demolition of siding that were originally part of the layout, and construction of the main grade for the elevated track. New videos will be added as construction continues.
I recently heard from another Polar Express model railroader who has some very creative ideas. A link to one of his videos is here: • April 2, 2020
The trains on my layout are by Lionel. The structures include scratch built, kit built, and Built and Ready buildings from Woodland Scenics. The lighting systems are a combination of Lionel accessories and Woodland Scenics Just Plug Lighting System. The electrical supplies used in this video were purchased online from Del City, Menominee Falls, Wisconsin. I have purchased electrical supplies from Del City several times, and every order has been filled accurately and promptly. On the basis of my experience, I can recommend Del City for a wide variety of electrical supplies:

Very good information. The directions were clear and simple. I would have liked to see another close up or so but feel confident that I can do this without them.

I like the look of your elevated track and how it's supported. Could share an explanation how you did it and what materials were used?

Hello and thank you for this video, I have a Lionel Train with the same fastrack, I have recently build a manual lift bridge where the fastrack are disconnected, my question is… Can I make the same connections in this video to connect both tracks for power

I am building a layout and I'm trying to find out how to best run the power wire or buss line under the table to connect the drop down wires to power the track. Do you have a video on that or a link to another source? Thanks.

Hello, do you have a link to the wire? There is a lot on their page, wasn't sure which one you had purchased. Thanks!

Arms in the way of the hook up. Need close up of the the connection and how you made the wires.

Same thing: info good, video not. Why? Needs some 5 second closeups to illustrate; needs to have longer caption overlays for they are too brief even for a fast reader like me. And how about video under the table to illustrate what you mention but do not show.
