Another great video.. Good knives and comparisons.. I have the micarta BM 319 Proper.. I bought new in store and cherry picked the best of 4 or 5..The Lion Steel still looks to be the better knife.. The Italians know how to make a quality knife. I'm carrying the Real Steel Gekko 1500. Crowned blade, lock bar and back spacer. F&F is superb but a little pricey...Also, have my Lion Steel Opera. A great little EDC..

Stas- Very cool melding of old and new. I like that it has screws and not pins. Great materials. The fit and finish on yours seems better than Apostle P's as his had a big gap between the wood and bolster which looked bad. The bolsters would IMO look better if they were a bit shorter. Great comparisons to the Benchmade and GEC.

Been dying to get into traditionals, love the lionsteel, really wanting to get one of those... As well as the micarta version of the proper, and some type of GEC, maybe a Barlow of the larger variety. Can't decide which to do first! I'm in love with too many knives for my budget :'( that lionsteel might be the best deal though, I LOVE crowned spines and I don't even have 1 knife in my current collection that has one. That needs to change! Great video as always, screw you for making me lust after things I shouldn't buy!

Oh, you did forget! 😉 overall this is a great knife for the price with a great steel. It's nice to see modern and traditional combined for something that could slice or cut all day without needing a touch up. I enjoy my GECs all day, everyday. This is a nice addition to anyone's slipjoint collection.

I love my Ram horn Roundhead! A 2nd run will be out in early December. A little thinner behind the edge and some more materials for covers are the changes. I have my eye on the clip point version called the Shuffler.

The Proper has 45 degrees on the corners of the tang, where it is otherwise 90 degrees. That's the reason why the walk and talk isn't that snappy. It has nothing tot do with grit or pocketlint in the knife, i own the micarta version. Like the Lionsteel better though ;-)

I don't like the screws at all and you can feel all the grabs were everything is rounded I sold mine a fail for me . I'll stick to the gec brand and northwoods

Those are not pins. They are screws. Not much for those threads to grab on to. That's one reason why knife people choose not to own Emerson knives. Pins rely on friction, or should I say compression. Pins are better when you have those thin liners.
