Inkscape Beginner Tutorial - Fill & Stroke Settings & Adding Text Printing on Fabric or Create SVGs

4 жыл бұрынToday let's go over the fill and stroke settings in Inkscape AND some basic text features. This is a beginner's tutorial using Inkscape and was created to answer some of the questions I've received about the software. Pardon the lagging with the sound in the first part of the video (going live) and also please forgive my morning voice!!! I hope you find this video helpful and I'd love to try and help with any questions you may have.

I down loaded inkscape when you posted on your channel but i haven't even had time to try it yet. I am anxious to make a photo collage on fabric. I have mastered printing on fabric but have never learned how to resize and add pics. Im so excited to learn. Ty ty. .

How to set Stroke and Fill to work with the Mouse's Right and left button, instead of always asking Fill or Stroke when we hoover over the color docket , CRD is straightforward when you select square or circle, automatically has black outline, or can be set to open with any color with the click of mouse buttons > Thank you

hi, on no videos can i find how you know what size its going to print out, i tried making labels and it came out huge, i would really like to make labels for my crafts thank you

How do you avoid the stroke settings from being applied to future objects, particularly "text" that you may draw later?

You can turn off the stroke :)

Hi I'm looking to do signage & I need to set my font thickness to 8mm font thickness/ width ( brush stroke of the each letter in the words ) is this possible by the method shown by you here in inkscape ? Thanks 😄

Yes, that is possible :) you'll go to the fill/stroke tab.....then select stroke style....you can change to mm and the thickness too

Hi Lisa I have a Dell laptop Windows 10 is Inkscape comparable ? can anyone tell me if they understand this Inkscape ? I'm sorry but I've tried I can't get it

where is the video telling us how to download inscape I do not know how to get it done

Because we all have different computers, the easiest thing to do is to do a KZfaq search for "how to download Inkscape" and find a video for windows or mac, IPad, what ever type of device you are using and follow the directions from there :)
