This video is a bit of retro 80's make-up fun, a time that was all about bright, stripy blusher and garish eye colours. I've worked on a few 80's inspired shoots recently which had me thinking about and researching all things 80's beauty related. I loved doing the make-up and hope you enjoy watching this.

I admire Lisa because not only is she very talented and precise, she knows how to apply makeup on all skin tones! Not many MUAs know how to work with darker skin tones and she knows exactly what she's doing. (: Also, this model is stunning omg her structure is amazing!!

When I was a kid in the 80s and I was in dance recitals, this is exactly the type of makeup we had to wear for the stage. And yes, those cheeks had to be screaming with blush! That's probably why I can't stand to wear blush these days😄

It is Me I am so admiring the strength, culture and beautiful proud ethnicity that her face portrays.also.I am an amateur historical ethnologist and the studies of our ancestors and origins are so fascinating when there are certain features in faces that blow your mind with a certain look of perfection that has evolved genetically in that person over ages and ages.Humans are amazing sometimes and we should look to loving all the good and lovely in each other.

I love how the color shows in contrast to her dark skin. Olive, tan, to chocolate black skin tones pull off bright color so beautifully.

You dont need to apply foundation all over your face unless you absolutely have to for evening out or covering blemishes etc. Mainly just apply around the centre of your face as this is where most people need it most. Also choose a very natural coverage formulation.... I use lots of these light foundations in my videos so have a look through a few of them. If you both of these things along with really good blending it shouldn't be obvious you are wearing foundation at all x

Ugh her complexion is everything and those lips are unstoppable. You always find the most gorgeous models, Lisa! The 80's looked too hard core for me. Makeup game was off the charts ridiculous but she pulls this off fabulously. Sheila really needs to be on fashion spreads, she's stunning.

I do find her lovely but I just don't understand the comments about "beautiful skin". She has prominent bumps and blocked pores under the skin as well as a fair amount of discolouration. None of us are perfect but the skin comments are so weird to me! Hers is really not good!

SaintOrCinema No one has 100% clear, perfect skin. And, if that is your prerequisites for having ‘beautiful skin’ then you have some skewered outlooks on beauty. That’s my opinion at least. She does have marks/bumps/discoloration on her skin but that doesn’t mean she does not have beautiful skin. Her complexion is really lovely and makeup only enhances that. And, even with her imperfections, as the lovely Tammi LeShore hints at, she is still beautiful as well as her skin. But, in the end, what you said is what the makeup industry would have everyone believe and I like that Lisa Eldridge doesn’t generally look for skin already perfect and she always says that if you have imperfections that doesn’t mean you have bad skin. I’d really love to meet her and talk about makeup one day. She is a skilled and genuinely kind person.

She's lucky she has a really good eye shape! Lots of lid space so you can be quite creative with shadows. Also, her cheekbones are just amazing!

Truly appreciate you featuring women of different ethnicities in your tutorials. A lot of these makeup guru's only do make up themselves, so anyone who doesn't have a similar skin tone or type is left clueless.

Hi Lisa, I just wanted to point out that mac diva (suggested as a replacement for the discontinued lip shade) is not at all similar, I have it and it's in fact a deep wine-burgundy red. Absolutely beautiful on dark skin as well I have to agree but not close to the one you used. Love always x
