Their album Breakfast In America was absolutely huge when it came out. every single song on that album is a banger. every song is great. you know how every song off of Boston's debut album were amazing? same with Breakfast in America. Supertramp has their very own sound, they are progressive like pink floyd, and rush. lyrically deep, and profound. fantastic album. I have a poster, a vinyl, and a shirt of that album that I searched hard for online. Supertramp is under rated. Search Supertramp reactions, there are none.

This was most everybody's introduction to the Doobies, along with "Jesus is just Alright". You've definitely got two different "Doobie Brothers" bands and sounds. The Tom Johnston Doobies and the Michael McDonald Doobies. You've been hearing the TJ Doobs, try "Taking it to the Streets" or "Minute by Minute" as an example of the MM Doobs. Radically different vocal styles and MM's keys come into play as well.

@@lisaw5604 they do have a little ways to go that's for sure. so many classics. and btw, they still tour. 50th anniversary tour this year. Nothing like jamming to the Doobies outdoors under the sun or stars in the summertime. saw them a few years ago just north of Chicago and I can confirm they still sound pretty damn good! our boys might want to keep a lookout if they want to take in some truly classic live rock this summer. Have a good one Lisa!!

I have been binge watching you two really getting in-to, and loving the music I grew up with, all day, and it is Christmas, and I as usual am alone for the holidays. Don't feel bad about me being alone, I'm used to it, and it doesn't bother me at all. But watching intelligent younger generations discovering how good a lot of the music I grew up with is always makes my day better. You just got a new 63 year old subscriber.

There's a reason this song was their final encore number when I saw them in '77. Their fans just love the tune, the melody and the lyrics. "Keep listening to the music" is the whole message behind the song, and that's what the fans love to hear and be told. It's a self-sustaining circle of energy between the band and the listeners, even while being a smooth, gliding along tune that doesn't take you to the edgier heights of "China Grove" or "Long Train Runnin'". It just plain ol' satisfies. Been listening to this song for 45 or more years and it took you guys pointing out the high "Listen to the music" vocal before I noticed it. What?!?! A little perk for my Friday. Thanks.

You guys have got to listen to more Zappa! These three are some of his best imo, very excellent: - I’m The Slime One of Frank’s most accessible and popular songs, and for a good reason. It’s off of the album “Overnite Sensation”. - Zomby Woof This is also from “Overnite Sensation”. It’s one of his harder rocking songs, and the instrumentation is insane. - Peaches En Regalia This song to me is one of his most beautiful, next to Watermelon in Easter Hay and Uncle Remus. No lyrics, all orchestral. It’s only 3:37 long, but I keep going back to it.
