Great haul! The Stories of Eva Luna has some great tales. Book made it to my keep shelf. My favorite other Allende is Daughter of Fortune.

The Measure was actually one of my favorite books of last year 😂 I loved it. It is such a great character study and discusses social issues and plays the devils advocate for so many aspects of our lives. It definitely makes you think about what you might do in that situation. Highly recommend!

Wink Poppy Midnight is all that you said it was. YA, dark, and not good. I would get rid of it. Ugh. I also disliked The Lo Ely Bones, but I think I'm in the minority there. In Cold Blood was really good. Love the free little libraries. 📚🧡

I love Colleen Hoover! It ends with us is a great book to start with. There are tigger warnings. I personally loved both of these books and I cannot wait for the movie to come out.

We just spent two nights camping at Fort Casey state park, across the water from Port Townsend, where the ferry comes and goes from Pt Townsend. Sounds like I need to hop that ferry and go check out the little free libraries!!

I read Half The Sky 10 years ago and it is one of the key books that inspired me to become a philanthropist. Warning before you read it, it is quite heavy, so be prepared before you dive into it. Burn For Every Day of The Year has such a pretty cover! Wow! I tried Eva Luna but I didn't get into it... Still want to read one Isabel Allende some day! Thank you for this great video!

I didn't think I would like Wuthering Heights either but I did a few pages and I was into it. The Lovely Bones is good but one of the saddest books I have ever read. The Measure I really enjoyed .

I enjoyed this Video - Love the Little Free Libraries that you got to go to. They are so darn cute. I would have grab more books from them that I saw that I wanted myself to get if I was there. I hope that you will enjoy your Little Free Library Books. My Girlfriend who only reads Mysteries and Thrillers read one of Colleen Hoover’s Books and she gave it 5 Stars. She loved the book. I went to my County Library and I checked out two books that I had put on Hold and 6 Magazines. My Library Book that I am Reading is called Cross My Heart by James Patterson. This present darkness by Frank Peretti. It’s about spiritual warfare. I remember really enjoying it even if it wasn’t what I’d usually read

The only book I've read is This Present Darkness (which is part of a duology). I remember liking it at the time. A bunch of my friends were reading about it. It made of a lot of interesting discussions. BUT it was 30+ years ago. I don't know how it would read now. It's about what's happening in the spiritual realm - angels and demons, spiritual warfare - when certain things are happening in the earthly realm. I can't quite recall any of the specific things, but if the storyline is someone being tempted to steal (I don't think that was in there), you would see the battle that's taking place among the spiritual beings. And I probably looked through the What to Expect the First Year, too, but that was also a long time ago and I don't remember anything!

My rating for The Measure was a DNF. Wink, Poppy, Midnight is very YA and was a let down. I gave it 2.5 stars. I have a free little library in my front yard and I wish it was utilized a bit more.

I gave The Warsaw Orphan four stars…it was quite good in my opinion. :) I read one Colleen Hoover and gave it three stars, tried another and didn’t finish it. I can’t remember why!

I tried to read The Measure and end of dnf it. I became bored with it, people deciding if they should open a box that determines if they would live longer or not. Maybe if I went further in the book, might of become more interesting, I don't know, but I was bored and didn't care anymore. Coleen Hoover books, I tried one of hers November 9 cause that is my birthday, but couldn't get into it, might of been my mood I don't know. Not sure if I will ever try another, if so I will get it from the Library, so I don't waste my money.

Good to know about The Measure! I think I'll try the first few chapters and see if I get into it, or maybe try the audiobook and see how it goes. But I have no problem DNFing if that ends up being the case. Yeah, I would never buy a Hoover book, just so happened to find some popular ones. But I'm really leaning towards not reading them. I don't think they are my kind of books.

I love the lovely bones. There is a major trigger warning for the first chapter for sexual assault though. I didn’t like the movie adaptation though.

I loved The Lovely Bones!! I read it in middle school and it has stuck with me since. I would recommend against Colleen Hoover. The author herself is questionable, the topics in the books are not okay, just all around a big red flag.

Unless you enjoy books with abusive relationships... My personal opinion is don't bother with the Colleen Hoover books.

I don’t mind books with abusive relationships. I’ve read and watched on TV a lot worse. I have only read 3 CoHo books but enjoyed them all.

I do not like Colleen Hoover. Her books are upsetting for me. Robert Burns is a very famous Scottish poet. Lived hundreds of yrs. ago. A classic like Keats or Wordswoth. I love Wuthering Heights. I collect old copies of it. I know many do not like it, think it depressing. It is, but for me also so romantic in an ethereal way,the descriptions of the moors, how Cathy and Heathcliff were part of each other, and obsession of love. Just me.

I have a bunch of these in my neighborhood, but they are almost all junk. Like stuff that literally NOBODY wants. I’ll admit I get jealous when I see these videos with actual GOOD BOOKS. 🫤
