Perhaps in the other endings, but in the Rozenmarine ending? No, actually. In Pocket Mirror's bonus room for 'The Strange Boy', he actually states that-while he did try-he was actually unable to claim Elise's soul. "Too bad she wouldn't join me, I sure tried. I guess gold just wasn't her color." We know that Elise only gave Goldia the pocket mirror on her deathbed, meaning that she died while still under it's protection.

@@GamerJosh2611 In a way, that's even more tragic because she and Rozenmarine never got to see each other again, even as Golden Maidens... though I must say, their romance was so loaded with red flags that the odds of their finding a happy ending (Star-crossed) were minuscule... Even in Star-crossed, it takes three years for Rozenmarine to work out her issues and commit to a long-term relationship.

In Ozzy's extra room in Pocket Mirror he says he couldn't get her soul if I remember well.

During your search for the Golden Maidens you already meet Granny Holle after you solve an optional puzzle. But I agree this cutscene was a bit underwhelming considering the effort you have to go through.

I would say that's pretty much it. One could probably add that Sanni still died even though she tried to break the deal. You can actually find all three of these girls in the game but unfortunately they don't really say anything that adds to this scene.

@@Rhentsi what really messes me up is Elise. dang, she's dumb! the warnings and laments of the golden maidens are clear as day, but Elise is just like: "what are you chattering about?" if I didn't knew better, I'd say she didn't WANT to get the message.

@phoneguy4637 Well I wouldn't really call her stupid. In the end the demons, the witch and even Rozenmarine to a certain degree all did their best to mislead and confuse her, so her environment wasn't exactly supportive in guiding her towards the right decisions. After all we are talking about a 17 year old girl who has known nothing but poverty and abuse for most of her life, so I guess your take on "She didn't want to get the message" is the right call.

@@Rhentsi ok, to be fair: I admit that I was indeed taken aback by how ungrateful and ruff the townspeople were towards Elise. I think that's because she was kind of a foundling of suspicious origin to the peoples which made them prefer to avoid her. yet, some peoples like father Hans, Welma, Loreley, Odilie and especially Old Jochen really treated her like dirt. totally uncalled for. yeah, that would drag me down, too. however, there were nuff peoples who where also nice to Elise, like Gustav, Mechthild, Lisbeth and the kids.

@@Rhentsi by the way, Elise is 18. Rozenmarine is 17, Lebkuchen and Freya are 19. one thing, however, always bothered me from the beginning: if her life at Kieferberg was that miserable - why didn't she just move out???

Yeah, I was going to replay the game for the Golden Maidens secret but the Father Hans ending I had access to was so short I thought it probably won't be worth it, so I looked it up on youtube. This cutscene just tells what you already been told multiple times if you put the pieces together Having the Golden Maidens fight back would be a cool cutscene/ending

@@anyaarcadia9166 I wish they can fix it. You know the scene where you get the needle testament? The switch version gets cut short. In the pc version, you see more to that scene.

@@Litlrox I replayed that scene 5 times to try and see the whole thing! That makes more sense now

I just beat it on switch too and got 6 of the 10 endings and i did notice the game didnt count a golden girl i found; i was supposed to be missing 3 but i ended up missing 4 ill try and see if it's possible for the game to save that you found all 25 on my next playthrough whether i decide to court Freya or Lebkuchen.

How would she do that though, she has almost no supernatural ability

I’m glad someone shares my sentiment. I feel like with how many plot points we had, the conclusion was a bit underwhelming when viewed by itself and not as a prequel. We don’t see Holle’s room (it’s just mentioned to contain an effigy in the max suspicion game over); no special ending for finding the golden girls; doing the extra work to get behind Father Hans’ schemes gets you a short bad end etc. Many of those could have been combined into some sort of friendship-ending where the golden girls fight back (as some mentioned they wanted) and Father Hans gets the blame for the witchcraft since he arguably caused the most damage to the town. I can only guess the creators didn’t want to give this kind of high-effort-perfect-happy-end ending when the ‘true’ ending had to be very negative to fit with pocket mirror. If they do make dlc I’d be happy though, one can dream (like adding at least a picture to the death you get for max suspicion and making it into an ending instead of ‘red screen then game over screen’).

I think you need to look at this clip in reverse. First you look at the three golden girls. Sanni and Valerie made a deal with Ozzy to sacrifice Alpenrose so that Ozzy will grant them their wish. Sanni then chickens out which essentially breaks their deal with Ozzy. Valerie still pulls through with the deal and sacrifices Alpenrose. Then you look at the CG where the girl(Valerie) talks to Ozzy. Ozzy says Valerie can't back out of the deal only because Sanni ran away and that Sanni will get punished for breaking the deal. Valerie doesn't care and says Ozzy can do with Sanni whatever he wants as long as her wish is granted. I guess the point is to display that it doesn't matter whether a girl gets sacrificed, breaks a deal or has her wish being granted, their souls become enslaved to Ozzy by becoming Golden Maidens.

As long as they have finished Ozzy's ritual, all of them r doomed
