I'm from Québec province in Canada, and i love the Carter Family i have their full remastered discographie, with few originals 78rpm vinyl, my 87 years old grandmother would listen them in the radio during the mid 40's and the 50's.

I just love these old carter family songs I well remember my Mom singing some of them and listening to them on our old radio back when I was just a child. that was a long time ago but I still listen to them today. it is a part of my connection to the good old days. Love them. Thanks.

I'm Melanesian and by listen to old 1920s Country rhythm i can say they have the same rhythm as Papuan Gospel songs in my hometown, almost every old gospel songs have the same rhythm, the Guitar, the bass, the divide voice(idk what you called it but in my country we called it "Bagi Suara"in Indonesian, Divide Voice in English) judging by the man sings with the medium note and the woman sings in high note it literary same all over Papua they sings just like this.
