was 12 in 1978, loved the song then, now in 2022 i rediscovered the song and never knew LRB was Australian and a week ago when i watched the live version midnight special 1978 i was awestruck by the band, Glenn's voice is sooooo good and the boys could play now, very professional and talented. I ordered some cd's and have found sort of a new musical beginning. Thanks Little River Band.

My first concert was LRB in 1980 with Pure Prairie League. One of the songs my band (of 14 year olds) played - or tried - was Lady and so we thought it would be really cool to see LRB live. I couldn't have had a more memorable first concert. I didn't get to see LRB again until the early 2000's and wasn't up to date who was in the band. I went to meet them after the show and mention my first concert and all only to find out the "oldest" member joined in 1981. I was so disappointed. Cheers to you guys for keeping the real LRB alive! Thank you for the music and for being part of the soundtrack of my life.

They were my first concert too….at the Nashville Tennessee State Fair around ‘79 or ‘80. I was a mere 17 years old. This takes me back in time when life was easy breezy!!!

So many great aspects to this song. Always been one of my favorites. The group vocals are outstanding! You just don't hear that anymore these days. The bass guitar is among one of the amazing aspects... So subtle yet so expressive. The little upper register bass compliment following "hurry don't be late" gives me goosebumps every time. Being a bassist myself I've decided this song is next on my list to learn how to play. Cheers!!

Is that you Glenn? WOW! this is my 23 year old daughters FAVORITE song, we took her to see a concert when she was only 10 years old and became her favorite song, that is why I mentioned perfection, she is a romantic and she is getting married in December-It would be perfect if you could sing this song at her wedding-as a surprise of course and Of course I would pay-let me know! She loves, loves ur voice and songs. She is a beautiful romantic and a genius to boot! Electrical Engineer, no less and I'm so proud of my beautiful, perfect girl Thank you. P.S. San Diego, California wedding. My daughters are my life and wish to make them happy, because life is too short. Thanks again.

Top ten best song of the 1970s. And I am a Heavy Metal fan. Hat's off to the songwriter and the rest of the fellows in band. Light, jazzy rock and roll at its finest with fabulous lyrics. A+ For a couple in love, you couldn't ask for a better love song.

Glenn was so good but I also love the later funkier version with the voice John Farnham. Hard to pick so I won't.

@@sallywilliams5444Glenn is definitely not over the top. Though John made a different style but Mr. Glenn gave the relaxation and reminiscing vibes which is the message of the song.
