I had the Trollz DVDs as a kid!! I don't have them anymore but from what I remember, the arc of the first couple episodes is just the movie (similar to how the Kim Possible movies are just 3 episodes back to back but it looks like all one piece). I can't believe it's considered lost media now, Trollz was such a huge part of my childhood I thought it would be more well-documented...

according to what I found, the voice of Sven was William Coryn, tho he was uncredited. he doesn't voice Chat Noir, but he does voice Trixx and Xuppu in the French version of Miraculous

That's in the original French version, though. It sounds like Sven's voiced by Ian James Corlett in the English dub.

I had the old Trollz DVDs ('Best Friends for Life' & 'Magic of the Five'). I'll say the difference between the DVD release and what aired on the DiC network was the extra content. At the end of an arc, you'd get an extra two or three minutes of said episode. Ex: At the end of episode four titled 'Onyx's Gem', we see the girls come back from the mall after defeating Simon. They're outside of the store heading towards their scoots to go home. The extra few minutes isn't much, but it's something. 😭

russ trolls r authentic but there's certainly a difference imo as a collector. the dam troll just feel like they have much more character in their faces. sometimes the russ trolls kinda feel like they have nothing behind the eyes while the dam trolls feel like they have a bit of emotion. i love them both but my favorite trolls r all dam or norfin.

My favorite Troll pop culture bit is Synclaire James from Living Single! She has a giant human sized Troll doll in her room (i think its a pre-wedding episode where we meet him as she moves in with Khadijah and Regine), and is known for providing Trolls to her colleagues at Flavor Magazine😂 she's one of my favorite characters from the show

Also, I loved MAD as a kid! Wasn’t MAD based off of a magazine that used to exist? I somehow have dvds of the Trollz: Best Friends For Life movie and Trollz: Magic Of The Five movie. Idk where my parents even got it tbh. I thought I lost them, but I found the dvds which child me had stuffed both of them in one of the cases for some reason.

This was a great deep dive on the history of Trolls. An adult DreamWorks Trolls fan here, actually wearing a Poppy shirt as I type this. I fell in love with this series after watching the first movie and been a fan since, even seeing Trolls Band Together multiple times at my local theater (even went in Trolls gear each time). I love the adorable characters, the world, music, the stories and heart this series has.

Hi! Really enjoyed this video!! Don't know if anyone has said this but Bryce Papenbrook who is the English va for Chat Noir didn't start voice acting until the year 2000. As this movie was released in English 1992/1993, it was definitely just a similar sounding va.

I had a trollz doll (the blue hair one) when I was super little and I always questioned why it didn’t look like the original dolls represented in media. I assumed it was like a knock off dollar tree doll or something like that. Just to find out it’s legit troll doll that had its own show and everything lol silly.
