EDIT: since people are watching this a year later 😭 yeah there was an editing mistake around the 37:00 mark where i disappear & i just clipped it out 😭 this video almost destroyed my computer so im not shocked i missed that ALSO at 29:30 i had to mute the audio due to copyright (yes out of all the fish hooks content i put in markiplier is what comes back to bite me) which in addition cut off my dialogue a bit but it comes back at 29:46 so feel free to skip if needed

Just to help in the future, copyright wasn’t an issue except for at 29:30 because if you only show the images from a video without the audio or vice versa (playing the audio of a tv show or film but not displaying it’s coordinating images) or play a video for less than six seconds it won’t violate copyright for videos. However, a song can claim you violated its copyright by only playing the audio because it is the entirety of its identity/proprietary appeal.

Oh yeah... they are, aren't they? Now that it's mentioned I remember Milo calling him 'bro' and that they live together. But they're so different visually and personality wise it's hard to make the connection. Especially since they'd have to be twins.

i refused to watch fish hooks as a kid, not because it’s bad but because them living in those fish tanks made me extremely uncomfortable and claustrophobic. also that episode where the kid got sick and floated to the top of the tank freaked me out

That droopy disease is real in fish I forgot what it’s really called but I used to buy the 25¢ fish from the pet store and they lived long enough to have their own babies and one day the last one was upside down but still alive I couldn’t get the drops the fish needed in time so she died before the morning

yeah it's real, it's called Dopsy and it's pretty much just kidney failure which causes fish to bloat up with fluid with their scales popping out called "Pineconing" and is usually caused by bacterial infection. 8/10 they die tho its pretty rare even if you do get antibiotics in time they'll just croak anyway.

There's one which is swim bladder disorder and the other is dropsy. Both can be caused by a multitude of reasons. You have to identify and medicate it early in order to cure the fish, unless it's something like organ failure, then it doesn't have a chance, unfortunately. A betta I had for over a year got dropsy and a goldfish I had for 3 months did too. I didn't catch it in time and they both passed. The betta could have just been old and his organs shut down, but the goldfish was still pretty young. Sometimes it's just a genetic defection.

What I always think of when I think of fish hooks is this core memory I have where I was watching the new Disney channel episodes one night and bc there were so many new ones that night, the fish hooks episode came on really late and I wanted to watch but I couldn't stay awake and fell asleep. Speaking of do y'all remember how there would always be new disney channel episodes every weekend night and you had to tune in at a specific time for each show, I can't imagine being that dedicated to cable tv premieres anymore

One of the only memories I have of the apartment I stayed at my first trip to the US (little non-english speaking latina child) was this show. I never saw it again once I came back home, probably because I didn't watch Disney Channel that much. That trip I had the worst cold I have ever had my whole life. To this day, I cannot confirm I saw it there or in another place and watching it in the apartment's tv was a fever dream.

I specifically remember watching the first episode of Fish Hooks after the premiere of Canp Rock 2 in 2010. Loved this show but conpletely forgot about it lmao. I remember losing my stuff when I heard the "Come Sail Away" parody in that one episode. I had never seen a cartoon do that before at the time.

I'm brazilian and I used to watch this show around 2013ish (I would be too old for it already) and I don't remember any plots, but I remember watching it every day and it was my no thoughts head empty comfort show, and whenever I bring it up with anyone around my age, NO ONE KNOWS OR REMEMBERS THIS SHOW, and it makes me feel crazy. It was "Adolepeixes", which is kinda a pun merging Teenager Fishes
