As someone who is working incredibly hard to get better and finds your series incredibly helpful, I humbly request that you do another rapid speed run over blitz or bullet. The reason I found you was a desire to get better, and watching you thoroughly reason through and calculate position has helped immeasurably (probably measurably, lol). The instructive value of rapid games far surpasses that of faster time formats. However, I’m just one viewer, and I’m sure you will-and should-do whatever the majority wants. Either way, I will be watching.

It did look suspicious. I, however didn’t find the rook trade that suspicious…..although it WAS the best move, lesser players will usually trade to reduce tension, and he was up materiel, which players of all levels will reduce when up material. The was 1300 recently… is a little fishy, but not a universal indictment. My verdict, very suspicious, but none of us can say for sure.

It's more about the rating i think, playing good games is so much easier below 1800-2000, 1. players aren't observant enough to report, 2. Cheaters easily win with playing worse moves from time to time so the system doesn't catch them as easily. Say you use engine for 50% of moves you win 99% of games at 1000 elo, at 1500 you need to use it 75%, at 2k like we saw here he uses it for every move and gets banned 3 days later

At around the 28:00 minute mark, I was a bit surprised that you didn't see Be7 by black. I'm sure if you saw that you'd surely play Ne5. Because if black takes the knight, you can take back with the pawn, and the Rook also controls d8, preventing black from castling in another way.

you've said on more than one occasion that bishops are slightly more valuable than knights, and there are some openings, like the Ruy Lopez, where white tries to keep its light-squared bishop at all costs, and others, like the Sicilian (2:35), where you trade it for a knight without any hesitation. Why?

Normally, I would agree with you. One of Nelson's flaws is that he can be overconfident (e.g., spending valuable time engaging with chat instead of playing, or wondering aloud whether someone was cheating when he loses due to his own mistakes). However, here, Nelson's suspicions were absolutely warranted. First, his opponent took about 15 seconds each move, regardless of how (un)complicated the position was. Also, the opponent was rated 1300 after thousands of games until about a month ago. Then, suddenly, his rating spiked by 700 points. The user's account was banned, so the app's admins apparently agreed the user was cheating.
