The Voyage of Mael Dúin is one of the great oceanic odyssey tales of Irish mythology. The tales are known in Irish as Imram, meaning 'sea voyaging'. Imram Curaig Maíle Dúin was said to have been composed in the 8th century and the story survives in several manuscripts, including The Book of the Dun Cow and the Yellow Book of Lecan. In this fantastic tale, Mael Dúin and seventeen companions take part in a voyage in the ocean where they encounter 31 fabulous islands, each with its own marvellous adventure.

i have a feeling that mael duin's experience might be a dream or a vision, this might explain why it is so fantastic. we shall see what happens. as for future stories, have you tackled the book of invasions yet, that is a great story.
