J P I'm talking about in general if you know you got something in your car don't lie about it because cops will find out and trust me this could had went alot worst..they got out the same night now wonder if they was loud, obnoxious, trying to run away and so on do you think they would be going to jail for a few hours or do you think they would go in as a misdemeanor? only reason they're going to jail is because they're homeless and can't receive mail. The "crazy fine" is because they had something illegal in their possession that was going to be found regardless if they were cooperative or not. Had they not been cooperative the fine, bond and/or time would be much higher, and you could forget about a citation/summons/whatever.

He never said he wasnt going to arrest the dude for driving without a license, he said hed give him a misdemeanor citation for the drugs... which he did. This was his 3RD time being stopped without a license. As for the woman he explained why he couldnt just let her walk since shes homeless and didnt have a set address for the notice to appear at court. As a result he said hed note that they were both cooperative and should be allowed bond that same night and even to lower the cost of bond.

Because most people are dumb thinking that the police won't be able to find the stuff they have & don't wanna snitch on themselves but in reality they technically already did snitch on themselves when they say 'No, I don't have anything on me or in the car' & then directly afterwards consents to a search of the vehicle.😂😂 I swear every single episode that I've seem so far that the police were suspicious of drugs, they ask the 'suspect', they lie & say 'No, I don't know what you're talking about. I don't have anything at all.' & then get asked to consent to a search, which btw they always do, or even just come flat out & say "I don't have anything, you can search the car if you want to'. Like🙃🙃💁♀️💁♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️

For everyone wondering why they still got charged for the weed even though they were beyond cooperative, there is a camera recording everything. If that cop let them off for the weed, it could cost him his job. And secondly, the vehicle will be impounded and if weed is found in the car if it is searched a second time perhaps by a K9, the officer could again be in trouble. Cops are constantly being watched and recorded. They can't let you off with drugs. Perhaps with speeding because its officer discretion, but any form of illegal substance, they can't even if they wanted to.

Christopher Wood No, they can't just let you off. They have to confiscate it and they can write you a citation. They have a book of codes for everything imaginable. It tells them how much the fine will be for a dime bag of weed is. Etc. that's why they weigh the drugs found. It's based of weight. I'm in the police academy, I know how they do things. It may be different in other states, but that's how they train here.

Lord Of frog your logic is bs, a lot of places have decriminalized weed anything under an ounce is a citation, in maryland you can have an ounce or less and be cited $100 and have your weed confiscated, in pennsylvania the only place where weed is decriminalized is the city of philadelphia where if you have an ounce or less you only get a $75 dollar fine and you get to keep your weed. If you are found smoking weeding outside it is a $25 fine with both citations you can be given a handful of community service hours most times you don’t though. However if you were to leave city limits with that same ounce of weed you would be arrested, cited and charged for the weed.

That's exactly how all traffic stops SHOULD go. Just cooperate with the officers, be calm, respectful, and polite, and things will go so much smoother than if you try to conceal or hide anything from them. They'll find whatever it is one way or another, and being cooperative like that will ensure you'll get off easier.

It's honestly always refreshing to see people just be straight up about things. They've probably seen this show before. Just own up to everything, they're going to find it anyways. Your life will be easier and your citations/sentence will probably be more lenient.

They only had weed . They were not violent ppl tht was carrying guns and a lot of drugs if they were they wouldn’t of been so corporative trust me

it's his third time caught driving without a license and she would have been out the same night hopefully with a lower bond than she would have gotten otherwise.

Classic case of a 'cool' cop. "Hey, you guys are being honest with me so I'm going to be cool with you and give ya'll citations". Five minutes later, "you guys are going to jail for"... Cops, not to be trusted.

"This red Explorer just committed a U-turn when there's 3 big 'no U-turn' signs." The cop says *as he commits 2 traffic violations...* (Not having his turn signal on 2-3 seconds or 200 feet before changing lanes; and crossing a solid white line.)
