There are people that are abused, and it's likely there are people that are/were abused in prison. And people do act out because they don't know how to handle it. A good chunk of people that are abused will act out. It's a natural reaction. Making fun of that situation is doing what exactly?

It's tough you see one cop who wants to let someone go, and another who feels that because of initial disrepect that the person should be ticketed/arrested. The best cops seem to know how to control personal feelings, at least such that egos don;t get in the way of trying to help. Maybe comes with time, maturity, and experience, but not for all cops per se.

I think taking her in is best. She obviously has a mental illness, and is also due in court for other matters. Taking her to the state line and washing your hands of her is fraught with danger, she could jump in front of a truck and the cops have technically failed in their duty of care responsibilities... best to take her in now she is calm and keep her warm and safe in jail where she can get legal and mental health services while she goes through court.. the older deputy knew that but it wasn't his call so won't be him in the firing line if she does do something silly. Plus they have a responsibility to make sure she attends court and a judge isn't gonna be happy when she doesn't show up to know that they had her and released her...

They use shirt-stays. It is basically an elastic band that clips to the bottom of a shirt, then runs down the leg and there is a loop at the bottom where your foot goes through. I used them in the Marines when in dress uniform.

If she would have behaved like a normal, reasoning person, he would have cautioned her about walking on the wrong side of the road and she would have been on her way. Instead, she chose to act like a fool and bring all this trouble on herself. I feel for her, but she can't be treating people that way. By the way, the description is backward. When walking, you have to face oncoming traffic in order to be safe. She was walking with the flow of traffic so she couldn't see the cars approaching her, which is illegal. It's for the pedestrians safety, as well as the motorists.

Honestly, i can see why she was upset. But i see where there from too. I almost had a cop hit me with his cruiser. I was on a bike riding down a hill, lights on my bike, behind the cruiser. He pulled to the side of the road and put on his search light so i had to go around him on his left. He pulled out suddenly and i had to veer way out. He then yelled at me because he didn't check his surroundings before he entered a roadway. I was calm and courteous. He almost ticketed me because i was riding recklessly by not having a light on my bike, until i turned the handle bar and aimed the headlight at him...he then looked extremely embarrassed and drove off.

What's pathetic is how people watch something, then make up their own narrative. She was walking down a dark highway, WITH the flow of traffic. Have you ever hit a person on the highway, at night, who was dressed in black and couldn't be seen until you were literally 10 feet away from them at 60mph? You make it sound like she was out for stroll down a sidewalk on a residential street.

These leftwing pissbags are not anti-fascist-they are fascists themselves! They only disagree with anything that is to the right of Mao or Lenin. And now Antifa is a government identified terrorist group and should be treated like such whenever they show themselves in public.

I've been walking for 28 years of my life since cars are expensive and I don't need one right now. Not once have I ever been stopped by an officer regardless of what direction I take. I don't jaywalk or anything but I never care if I'm walking with or against the flow of traffic. I walk on whichever side of the road seems safest and takes the least amount of street crossings to get to my destination. Also shouldn't you WANT to walk against traffic so you can see any impending danger fast enough to get out of the way? Don't get me wrong, this woman is crazy but yeah...

she was walking on the road with the flow of traffic so on the right side, which is also apparently illegal. im pretty sure sidewalks are bidirectional but i guess its different when youre walking on the shoulder.
