611 , 4449, and 844 are all classified as northern type locomotives because they have a wheel arrangement of 4-8-4 "4 lead wheels, 8 driving wheels, and 4 trailing wheels" and the Hudson would be 4-6-4.

The black and red engine is Norfolk and western 611 it’s a streamlined a locomotive that pulled passenger trains on the Norfolk and western railroad and it’s going to Strasburg very soon I’ve seen it in real life

Fastest by top design speed only. I mean, hard to beat having the top design speed being 140 MPH, though the J's never attained that speed. Closest any of those engines got was number 610 hitting 110 MPH during a test run on the Pennsylvania Railroad. And I **HIGHLY** doubt you'll see 611 taken up to those kinda speeds nowadays.

Norfolk and western class J 4-8-4 number 611 built in 1950 by the N&W in roanoke VA, top speed is 110 MPH and out of the 14 units built she is the sole survivor.

Heh I think after legend (up 844) had its pistons leak steam or it’s safety valve break and now that it’s had its boiler destroyed needs a long break or even retirement but can still pull things on the railway

Zayne Vlasich well let me explain when 844 raced mallard 844 went so fast her pistons broke and safety valve burst and in this video the one we are commenting under 844 somehow blew up current theory is that she again when to fast and her boil couldn’t take the speed and probably heat and either leaked or a part of it exploded

I would like the NYC Niagara with N&W J class 611, SP 4449, and UP 844. Yes I agree that NYC J3A streamlined Dreyfus Hudson is pretty, but the reason I like NYC Niagara, is because 4449 and 611 are streamlined 4-8-4's while NYC Niagara and the 844 are similar (both have elephant ears, and they're 4-8-4's). It's okay, maybe in your future video!

Actually, the Union Pacific 844 is a Union Pacific FEF-3. So technically, it's called Union Pacific FEF-3 Engine No.844.
