I was on the Kop for that game. You could tell from the reaction of the Liverpool players that our fourth was legitimate. I think they went straight down to the other end to score their fourth.

I was behind the Kop too, can't remember why it was disallowed,??

I worked with Roger...not for him .. He was that kind of man!!...brilliant manager with mostly human faults...He was an amazing guy and I will never regret working with him...He could be Sooooo! ! ! course/rude sometimes...but his banter was always great so......always the real gentleman in the end .Pupils loved him and his gymnastic teams were a legend in North Lanarkshire .He will be missed and remembered by many in his teaching career to say nothing of his sporting professional achievements. ..I will miss your acumen Roger. Thank you for doing what you did for Craig with Manchester. United. sorely missed x

It should have been 4-4 Blues were robbed !!!! It was great to watch blues in these years ☺☺👍KEEP RIGHT ON 👍👍

Indeed they were. Definite own-goal (I think) by Trevor Storton would have made the score 3-4 to Birmingham City. Instead was mysteriously disallowed. Liverpool scored straight from the re-start. Blues won the return game at St. Andrew's. Liverpool went on to win the League Title.

This guy was voted the best game on match of the day that year. They never show the Liverpool goalkeeper throwing the ball to Bob Hatton who then scores, there is no reason for the goal to be disallowed but it was. Still bitter!!
