And then when he decides to make a move to better himself and his career which 99.9% of people would do, people get sour about it just like this lad with his backhanded compliment over a truly magnificent player we were lucky to see shine in a Leeds shirt. Get over it all of our squad aren’t “Leeds” or whatever the hell that even means. There’s no loyalty in football when moneys involved and it’s been that way for years and whether we like it or not we are a stepping stone club for a lot of players. @@Forcez89 I’m a newer Leeds fan (2 yrs) so I don’t really have a full grasp on the fan culture tbh. But it has kind of confused me lol. These players are heroes one week and traitors the next. It’s a young team they of all players have rollercoasters of form. I’m amazed they’ve been this consistent actually. Asking players barely 22 years old to carry a team out of the championship is an unreal burden and they’ve handled it brilliantly (Willy, Georginio, Crysencio, Archie). They are all well good enough to play at a higher level and if we can’t give that to them, should they really stay in this situation that could so easily become toxic? I won’t blame them for leaving if they so choose, they have one career and they should maximize it. Appreciate them while we have them and they are the only reasons we contend to be promoted, because imo Farke has given them the keys and stepped back.

This transfer would make a lot of sense, Slot and Summerville were both at Feyernoord, he’s exactly the sort of player Slot enjoys coaching as well. If Leeds don’t go up Cree is 100% gone, even if we go up, he might still go. Either way, the 49ers have to make sure we are asking for top dollar same as other clubs have done. Under Radz we were a soft touch and that needs to stop. We have to get top money to allow us to reinvest if we must lose our best players. Great coverage as always Joe 👍

There is no issue with FFP, its payments for RAdz and Orta kicking the can down the road with instalments. Now, whether the 49ers decide that will offset that money, another matter and also if we need a rebuild next season - keeper, rb, cb, cam and a striker that can score - that might be the case as well. FFP - nope.

You could see last season, that a full run and regular starts would develop him to what he was expected to be, he's a really good footballer and has quickly outgrown this project, with better players around him hell be a real weapon and, like you're saying, he's got the stardust name, his play is hugely entertaining and effective and when big fish come shopping, it's hard to turn down the sort of money offered for a player who can be developed further, i think Liverpool will go in quickly on this one.

I think it's been agreed a while ago, same as Arne Slot at Liverpool. Funny that Slot was referencing him all the time in press conferences, he wasn't gonna sign for Feyenoord was he, so you got to read between the lines, i hope he does well and i think he'll become a star there. Sad if he leaves but that's how it works, they won't hold him back and it'll give em some big mark up on what was paid for him.

I already think that he's as good or better than Cody Gakpo, with a higher ceiling in my opinion. Don't forget Liverpool shelled out 37M for Gakpo, so I don't think asking 45-50M for Summerville is that outlandish.

Tbf Gakpo was playing in the UCL and even Europa. Had 21 goal contributions in 14 games before coming LFC. Summerville hasn't played in either competition ever. And tbf this is his best season by a landslide. Different position but Alex Scott who's 2 years younger cost 25m for Bournemouth. He's in the 25-35m range realistically
