Gomez is not a RB and should never be played as a false 6 again. People have to remember, this is almost a mirror of a few years ago when we were going for the quad. The manager has minimum 8 games left and has to play his strongest 11 every game.

If we manage 3rd place in the League....and lose to Atalanta...that's still progress from last season...which is that which I'm looking forward to...we've punched above our weight this season and I'm resigned to the usual: " Oh well..lets try again next season " that I've had to for most of my support of Liverpool for a very long time ! 😢

There starting line up is difficult to predict. Endo has looked quite leggy and he's not the only one. I'd ask him to go again and test him on Thursday and play a more attacking midfield then. For me its; Kelleher Bradley Konate VVD Robbo Endo Maca Elliott Salah Gakpo Diaz Going to be a tricky game I'm sure. All I'm looking for is a result and performance that gives this side and the fans a bit of confidence again, it feels like everyone has gone a bit flat at a tricky point of the season. Anfield needs to be roaring and the players need to give them something to cheer for. YNWA!

As a palace fan; every game is a must win game. We are defo being dragged into the relegation fight. I wouldn’t expect this to be an easy game for Liverpool, especially under the new manager and 5 at the back.

I wonder, does ancient history somehow get into the head of a team? Crystal Palace are one of Liverpool’s kybosh teams, to older supporters it must be a bit like the ghost of Banquo, ‘oh no not you again!’ The kybosh doesn’t happen every season, it may only happen once in a decade, but it does sometimes happen. I’m thinking of an FA Cup semi final late 1980s, a particular league game when Brendan Rogers was in charge…I’m thinking it probably won’t happen today but if it does happen, well it’s Palace innit! They DO THIS to Liverpool every now and then! I’m an Arsenal supporter, good luck today lads!

Same old same old. Slow start. One nil down at half time. Nil nil if we're lucky. The commentator brings up the stat about us scoring the most goals at the end of the game. Pointing out that it didn't work against atalanta. 5% either way. Hold on to your hat. Its going to be a bumpy roller coaster ride.
