5 жыл бұрынLeslie Willis was once a popular and controversial Metropolis radio shock jock. She took cynical joy in attacking Superman during her broadcasts but that all changed. One evening during a severe thunderstorm, Willis hosted a rock concert but ignored her producer's warnings about the storms and the public safety concerns. Superman arrived to help, but lightning went through Superman's body and into a wire on stage which Willis then stepped on. When she awoke, her skin had turned ghostly white, her hair turned blue and she discovered she could control electricity. She then became a supervillain known as Livewire.

Pretty sure it’s more on that Harley Quinn is more iconic from the 2 TAS shows considering that she’s paired with Joker, so naturally people are gonna remember her more than Livewire who has to be memorable alone without the aid of any other character.

Lori Petty's gravilly yet sexy voice gave Livewire so much personality. Plus it was cool how the comic established her has one of the rare Omega-level meta humans, meaning her powers are without limit.

It's kind of funny how so many continuities besides the one where she originated had it so she turns good. Even the (non-canon) tie-in comics to the DCAU turned her good, while the shows kept her evil. The main comics made her a good guy after a few years, and Supergirl did eventually too.

Honestly I think a big reason we didn't see much of livewire after her day view was largely because she was quickly established as one of the most over powered superman villains that he basically only defeated out of pure accident, and that if you are fighting her without a hydro hero in sight or any water, then it's basically a guarentee loss if you dont have a hero with some type of natural lightning absorbtion ability.

5:46 As stupid and weak as how that scene was, I’d say that the shock that Black Lighting gave Livewire to be unconscious may serve as a massive upgrade to Livewire’s electric abilities in season 4 of Young Justice. She will be a force to be recognized with; it would take more than “Black Lightning” to stop her. Just my theory.

her in the old superman show like honestly she almost killed superman if it wasn't for random plot points since yanno the episode she was introduced if she killed superman and the credits rolled it wouldn't be a really long show but honestly if they keep putting her down and making her weaker I'm gonna scream and cry she's literally one of my favorite villains in general and deserves more of a spotlight.
