In all honesty, she was probably the best portrayed in Doom. Her character feeds off of Hal Jordan. But they did it the right way. In most genre, they portray her as just a villain. Which is sad, because she's much more then that.

Very few portray her as somewhat of an antihero. LEGO Batman 3 for example. She's like if you took Peggy Carter from Captain America material, gave her extraterrestrial powers, and brainwashed her, that's Star Sapphire. XD

I think Green Lantern Animated Series also showed her quite well - she wasn't herself after she got the ring (as showed in the clip), but she managed to break through that brainwashing thanks to Hal and she gave up the ring. Next time she had to wear it she had control over it. They would have probably explored her character more if the show didn't end on one season :/ I just really like how they separated her from "being a villan" status she had in the comics while still making her interesting (for a secondary character at least), it was like a fresh look at her.

It's such a waste the Injustice games did nothing with Star Sapphire. Seeing Carol's ring fail her while falling out of love with Hal going yellow would have been interesting.

After watching this video, I have respect for those who adapted her pretty well cuz the themes of her character like para-social relationships and taking advantage of your significant other would be hard to do for kids without lots of exposition or something. GLTAS and doom did those alright which makes sense cuz doom is heard towards an older audience and GLTAS is literally a GL show with more time then just a spotlight episode or recurring side character time to build her up. That’s why they simplify it to just “she is possessed” or “she is a feminist extremist but also just evil” TLDR: I understand why shows adapting her is done poorly because love is complicated.

The violet colour in the rainbow is often shown to be very magenta/pink (violet is the colour that comes after indigo in the rainbow).

My favorites are both of the DC Superhero Girls versions: The 2016 version for how despite her nature, she can kick butt when necessary (Like the beatdown she gave Croc in "The Ring of Mire") The 2019 version for Kari Whalgren's excellent performance (Seriously, she is just great as both Carol and Zee Zatanna)

Star sapphires are the only lantern corps that I can’t tell if they’re meant to be good or evil. Because in most portrayals of Carol Ferris she’s a villain but in Green Lantern TAS and LEGO Batman 3 beyond Gotham she’s a good guy. Can someone please tell are star sapphires good, evil or neutral lantern corps.

Initially they were meant to be evil, but then the DC Universe got a uh "Reboot" and then they became good but still a lot of media uses the original idea of being evil.

I like Carol very much, and I think TV programs in general should put her side more or less, if it is difficult for a woman who today is an entrepreneur in everyday life, to imagine how an impact should have on a woman in the decade of 60 taking out a bankruptcy company, still being a pilot and NOT abandoning or being very feminine, attractive and generous and still working and planning charity events.

The Spectre of Love (the universal force that give her the Star Sapphire Ring) is to vague on how it reads the inmense fellings of the chosen. In Carol Ferris case she feel love in a obsesive toxic manner to Hal Jordan. She's also obsessed in dominating other lanterns and forcing friends with benefits status with Jessica Cruz and powered up but mentally inestable for it.
