This is the lastest in short series of videos I have been calling my 'mini series', where I chat to friends and acquaintances about their experiences of living in France. 😊😇🥳👀🤯
In this one I get to chat with Sally and Stephen both retired GP's from the UK.
Yes another perspective of living in France, this time these lovely people inherited their house!
I think you will gain so much information about living in France from watching this 'mini series'.
if you enjoy it please give me a like and please do share with anyone you know may benefit from these.
We chatted for hours but I have cut the video down keeping in the bits I think you will be most interested in. You have the option of course to FF if you want to search for particular subjects. Also if you have difficulty hearing any parts please remember you can click on the CC button and have subtitles to help you know what is being said. If you don't know where it is, it is in the same place as the thumbs up button which you need to remember too 😉😘
Enjoy this one while I get on and edit the next one for you. 😊👀📽

I have visited France many times - and love it very much (my middle name is Claude!) But... when I'm at my ranch in East Texas, I pretend that I'm in France. "Wherever you go, there you are..." 🐮

Another really interesting chat. I learned a lot and now I have to research language levels. I'm fluent in French but my hubby and sons are not! I would like to hear more about Sally's and Stephen's boating experiences in France. On a lighter note - I discovered (thanks Google) that a recovery lorry is NOT a garbage truck, it is a moving van. Thanks, Jan. I am looking forward to Part II

That was a very good interview. Looking forward to seeing part two. I’ve been here in France for 24 years.

@@FOPYSFrance I live in the Lot département (46). I live in a very small commune; lots of space but very few people. Just how I like it. Can I just say that I love your interviews but am very lukewarm on the podcasts as the sound is poor and they go on too long for the content. Your week was interesting for a one off. I’ve not been back to the UK since 2019. Totally through choice. I do have my children living in France and grandchildren who went through the whole school and further education system in France. But I came to France first with my late husband. I have french and British friends and I am still improving my french. The thing I miss about the uk is the ability to go to M & S and buy a Melton Mowbray pork pie.

Lovely! I can't remember if we've been there before. It's a shame you are not closer, I could interview you🤣 I realise the podcasts aren't for everyone and I have had a few problems with the sound but I think it is ok now. When I edit, there is a level I should keep within, so I stick to that. Very few have struggled with the sound but it may depend on how they are listening to it. I know for me the sound can be improved by wearing headphones. 👂📢 Like you I love a pork pie 😋 thanks Susan ❤

@@FOPYSFrance I love the podcasts because I feel like I'm right there, in the room with you and Sharon. Listening allows me to putter around the house and do chores while remaining engaged. Also, the subjects you talk about are interesting and often hilarious!

Strange how an inheritance can change your retirement plans. I hope that they are happy there and that they feel they've made the perfect choice.

Bonjour Jan. If Sally and Stephen see this, I'm curious what they replaced the oil heating system with?

Bonjour Mark, I will let Sally know you asked.😊

We replaced the 40 year old oil boiler with another one sadly. It is however much more efficient and smaller and lives in the cellar rather than its own boiler room in the hallway. Unfortunately the town has supply doesn't reach us, the insulation standards are too low and the electricity supply too feeble to contemplate anything else.
