Thanks, Jan. Your garden looks lovely! It's only the beginning of May yet the veggies are sprouting! (whether you planted them or not). That is a good sign. The weather may cooperate this season and the garden will yield a healthy bounty! You're watching CBC shows and I'm watching BBC shows LOL! (but my favourite series is the French drama "Meurtres à..."). I bake bread (every day) too but a machine is out of the question. It takes too long. My nod to convenience is the batteur sur socle. I couldn't live without it! Today, I baked 2 sourdough sandwich loaves, 5 baguettes, kaiser buns, and New England hotdog rolls. There were bowls of bread dough rising all over the kitchen. My household includes 4 adult males with huge appetites. Soup is such a simple, hearty and nourishing meal. Every home should have a bottomless pot simmering on the stove. You can harvest your surprise garden potatoes just in time to create fall cream soups! I really enjoyed today's video. Ordinary, everyday life is interesting too.
