And, oh, the "lake" used to be a large pond/swamp that Chinese iron foundry workers enlarged, with much back breaking, hand labor for water power for the iron works. As soon as rich people saw how beautiful the Lake was, and it's potential real estate value, they kicked the Chinese OUT to Oregon City. THOSE are the kind of people that live in this neck of the woods. no not at all, sure there are some big mansions, but here theres a lot of cheap small houses too so its meant for everyone not just rich people, but yes the price is raising slowly so if your moving here then do it quick
