I love Mexico City. I could consider living there for long periods of time. I know a lot of people like retiring in places like Ajijic, San Miguel de Allende, and Puerta Vallarta. I have not been to any of those places, but from what I hear, they are too small, with not enough museums and variety for me. I am very definitely a city guy. I feel alive and happy in cities.

I used Gabrielle as facilitator for my permanent residency. She did a thorough, quick and an excellent job. The process was a breeze. She met me at the immigration office early in the morning, by 2:00 PM I walked out with my residency card. Seeing other people that day, who tried to go cheap and do it themselves (and the immigration officer send them a way with a list of requirements or they needed to re file in another office), I was glad I used her services. And by the way, I received much higher quotes from other facilitators. So, she is excellent and reasonable! I would highly recommend her!!!

Hello Mariana. 'Thank you very much for sharing this presentation from Gabrielle! It is awesome to see she has found a great life in Mexico and Mexico City! She presented many cool things for us to consider! Well...as luck would have it, I was thinking our next trip to Mexico would be in January-ish; and probably to Oaxaca as my wife's aunt is usually there then. But, my boss and his wife have a trip to Ecuador next week; which means I'm off from work! So, we are making a spur of the moment trip to Mexico City next week! As I told before, our trip to Mazatlan was really awesome! We loved everything about it, with the exception of the heat. Therefore, I knew we needed to get up to the highlands to get out of some of the direct heat and humidity to see that kind of area. Mexico City has been one of these cities that I've been very curious about. When you consider what we want-- a Centro area, walkability, live music, can walk to restaurants, bars, and music, can walk to food shopping, have amenities close, culture activities and museums, mass transit, etc, Mexico City really offers all of that on a much grander scale than what we've experienced. No doubt, I could find live music SOMEWHERE in this city every night of the week! Anyways, we are really looking forward to this! I've only been in a city this big once; it was New York City, for about 3 or 4 hours hehehehe We are heading down to there in a week, so time for some research! Safe travels!

Please keep in mind that Doctoralia is a website where doctors pay monthly to be listed there, so any doctor good or bad can be listed there, it's just a big business for the website owners. Also they don't admit bad reviews for the listed doctors, that's why every single doctor seems to have stellar reviews, so basically their "review" system is bogus. That of course doesn't mean every doctor listed is bad, it's just that there is no way to tell them apart, they are simply paying clients for visibility. Another way to get doctors is by mexican insurance, they usually have their own list of doctors and they are more controlled on quality.

Hello, thank you for sharing such wonderful, informative content 🙏🏾🙏🏾 I have a question that maybe you can answer. If I'm planning to come to Mexico and use the income from my job to qualify, but my significant other doesn't work..... how can we both come? I see retired couples in a lot of videos, but wasn't sure if they each had to qualify separately? 🤔 Thanks 🙏🏾 in advance for your reply
@MexicoRelocationGuide
@MexicoRelocationGuide Жыл бұрын
Hi Brad- most couples either qualify individually or one of them gets residency then petitions for the other in Mexico. This is because Mexican immigration law allows family members to join their resident spouses without having to prove the same financial solvency that the main applicant had to prove.

It's safe as long as you never assume anyone is looking out for you. It is your responsibility as a scooter or bike rider to watch out for cars, not the way other way around. And it won't get stolen as long as you have a garage or you keep it locked if on street parking

We hope to eventually spend some time in Mexico City. We retired 4 months ago at 55 and 60, and are traveling between Mexico and Argentina in search of our favorite retirement city for the next 4-5 years. We love cool weather so Mexico City is appealing. We are currently in my wife’s home country of Nicaragua, up in the mountains of Matagalpa. February we will head to Guatemala for 6 months, then Mexico for 6 months. The only downsides of Mexico City we here about are difficulty renting and guessing Mexico City is probably the most expensive place to live ? We do have 2 senior dogs. Had three but just lost one to cancer. The boys are both 16 so not sure how long they will be traveling with us. We currently spend about $1000/month here for everything, plus another $300/month or so for the dogs. Guessing we will be at more than double that in Mexico City ? Triple ? Thx !

Smog is def an issue if you're very sensitive. Personally, it doesn't bother my breathing but then again I grew up in CDMX. Safety wise, you'll be fine if you practice the same common sense as in any major city. Try not to travel alone at night, be aware of surroundings, lock doors, and avoid sketchy areas that seem sketchy- you'll know when you see them If you want a private relocation tour of CDMX to check it out, visit our page mexicorelocationguide.com/tours/

@@barbarahunt7415 I am originally from Ft. Lauderdale and moved out to the LA/Ventura area after college. I've surfed and remote beach camped throughout Baja since the early eighties and was familiar with this area so I knew what I was getting myself into. I currently live in Ensenada. It's about 100 miles south of San Diego and with it being right on the cool ocean the climate stays beautiful year round with no a/c needed and no bugs or mosquitoes. It's not a big tourist area and more of a working city so it's still very affordable to live a great life here. I live about a mile from the ocean with a view from my palm frond covered patio overlooking the ocean and the beautiful city lights at night. Yes, I do have a hammock for short afternoon siestas while listening to birds singing and the muffled sound of mariachi music from the distant malecon.... I live very comfortably in a Mexican neighborhood without skimping on anything for less than $1300us per month and that includes private health insurance. My rent alone is $10,000 pesos or around $543.00us and that includes all utilities, cable, internet, drinking water along with maid service and regular meals that my landlord makes! I am a good cook so I make some American recipes and share with them, they have "adopted" me into their family! I could onand on about how friendly, helpful and family oriented the people are here along with delicious food and fresh produce. Everything is close and I am able to walk to get all of the things I regularly need. BTW-I have an organic fruit, vegetable and juice stand literally right across the street where I can get a liter of fresh squeezed juces for around $2.00us and avocados are on sale this week for around $0.30us! Don't wait or the time will never seem to be just right! Mucha suerte desde la hermosa Ensenada!🤷‍♂😎🏄🍍🥥🌮

I’ve lived in CDMX now for a little over a year and it is absolutely possible to live here without a car, in fact I’d recommend not having one: in many parts of the city parking is very scarce, left turns on many main streets are prohibited, and the traffic itself can be impossible. Your best bet is the Metro (subway) and Metrobus
