First time Off Grid Survival with no food in the Boundary Waters. We test our primitive survival skills by living off the land. We stumble upon the last standing building in the BWCA, try our hand at fishing, and collect some questionable food sources. In this episode, the "Off the Cuff" crew is tested by The Most Protected Wilderness in America. A Boundary Waters Documentary.

Great job! You guys are so good at this video thing. I walked into the Alaska wilderness for 45 days and took no food, like you. And it was fun predicting everything you guys experienced. I was laughing at the cattails. I hate cattails to this day. You made me re-think them. If you take no food, my advice is to intend to fast. Practice fasting at home. Then, the prospect of going without food is not stressful or fearful. You already know all about what it feels like. That was my plan for Alaska, but I found abundant food. If you need an awesome place to go up there, hit me up. You can take public transportation to the walk-in point. The walking is brutal, but worth it.

wow, 45 days! Which part of Alaska did your adventure take place? I'm sure you have some incredible stories.

@@OfftheCuff_Series it was South East Alaska. Prince of Wales island. There is SO Much food there. I do need to study how the natives obtained complex carbohydrates though. I think that was missing from my diet. Maybe cattail roots. LOL.

I so enjoyed this episode. First the place is magnificent and incredibly beautiful and second, I really enjoyed the fishing aspect, particularly when the one guy caught the first fish. I don't fish myself but I enjoyed you all catching them. Well done.

@@OfftheCuff_Series If I was younger, in a heartbeat, but at 70 it wouldn't be high on my bucket list. I spent my younger years on Kodiak Island in Alaska so I love the outdoors and that leads me this question for you. I didn't see you all being eaten alive by mosquitos, weren't there any? If I remember correctly you were there in October? So they were taking a three month long nap?

Ya'll should've put the same effort into researching how & where you were going to get food as you did editing this video and you would've had a much better time! It's barely primitive survival if you end the trip with a significant caloric deficit that'll kill you... I hereby ban you from giving survival advice haha but you certainly gave me a good laugh. I about died when you said you were going to make a cattail root pancake

Was worried there might be nothing left to forage in "the most-visited wilderness in the U.S.". Glad to see it very much intact with few people & sensible rules like 'no motors'. Why did the 32-inch Pike have to be thrown back? Too small or too large?
