Angle Inlet and Point Roberts should be given to Canada. Purely historically Canadian places that the US took through silly cartographic errors.

Beautiful stuff. Very warm and welcoming places. Imagine walking through your living room and picking an orange as you walk by the tree. I've designed and built some incredible homes, have worked in some the most beautiful classic homes in America but this is very impressive.

Only thing about earthships that seems like a crazy hazard is the tires. Everything else is fine but tires release so many toxins and pollutants into the air, ground and water. I get the desire of it being cheap and lasting for basically ever. But if there’s an alternative material like metal barrels, or wood or even cibder block it’d be significantly better for your health. But then it’d have a cost which defeats the purpose.

I’d love an Earthship! I just want it in a place where I’d be happy. Desert isn’t my happy place :p

Let's bring in some 3D home printing ideas to the construction processes and use on-site materials. Make an adobe-like building material.

Our government wants no one to have anything sustainable unless they’re collecting taxes on it and selling it to you. Climate change is a ridiculous scam causing more pollution than it will ever eliminate.

I actually do have a reasonable solution if anyone wants to read it: Basically Canada and USA would 1.) swap a small area of coastal waters, 2.) make the border a straight line, 3.) extend their "coastal borders" a little bit, and finally 4.) build a 4 lane highway belonging to both USA and Canada. HERE'S HOW: The straight line border would be very close to where it already is. It would go from the southern-most point of Northwest Angle, South to the tip of land just west of Buffalo Point Marina. The new "coastal borders" would be along the coast line of Sandy Point Bay and the coast line of Buffalo Point (Canada gains Sandy point coast while USA gains some of Buffalo Point coast). The highway would be 4 lanes right on the border. The East 2 lanes would belong to Canada (traveling North/South) while the West 2 lanes would belong to USA (also traveling North/South. I think this is a very fair agreement that would equally benefit both sides, although mostly solving a USA problem.

The reason the government the architectural community don't like it is because they won't get paid. Insurance won't get paid and the government won't get a cut. Its just a bunch of pissed off middle men.

People laughed at him, the US gov tried to stop him with a bunch of BS bureaucracy. But he's winning. Not just that but he's making better use of cans and bottles than those who put that stuff in a landfill. And those homes or Earthships he created are lovely.

Don’t start an argument where this isn’t one. The government couldn’t care less. Find land that’s zone A1 agricultural zoned land. And start building. But you need a good size truck. They need to learn about building, how to site the site, how to put fence in if you want livestock.

Is Earthship living only for vegetarians? I eat animal-based. Is there a town not too far away, or a farmer where you can buy grass-fed meat? One freedom I DON’T see is farm outbuildings with chickens and goats. Is this allowed?
