Lost my wife to cancer six years ago this morning. Fernando was her favorite. Listening reminds me of her marvelous presence. A Jewish girl growing up in a Muslim culture of North Africa with a French education and a dream of marrying an American soldier (turned out to be me!). Came to faith in Messiah in great tumult, she loved everyone.

I was introduced to Fernando Ortega before I surrendered to Jesus Christ by a dear friend who’s mother I cared for the last 18 months of her life. I was having a particularly bad morning at work and I had lost sleep. My friend played Sleepless Night for me, picked my feet up in her recliner and made me breakfast. She cared for me when I was supposed to be caring for her mom. She showed me kindness when I needed it the most. Her moms number one comfort and joy in life was listening to Fernando every single day until she passed onto heaven. It was such a joy and comfort. I continue to listen everyday to his meaningful music and beautiful voice. Also, I’m from New Mexico too!!! God bless Fernando.

I had the privilege of seeing an intimate performance like this one. He did a fundraiser event at Christ's Kitchen here in Spokane, WA. Me and my kids sat in the 2nd row and were able to sing together all of our favorites right along with him. It truly was the thrill of a lifetime for us. My kids have grown up listening to so many of these songs. It was a truly magical night, and I remember being on cloud 9 in the days following that concert.

I’m a big fan of Fernando Ortega. Ever since I’ve heard him for the first time never stopped or got tired of any of the songs he sings. Of course there are a few of them that are my favorites. And I can’t forget to mention that I love the sound of the cello. Blessed be the name of our GOD that gives us this so talented man as a great gift for our generation.

How can such a dear friend and brother whom I love so dearly in Christ, give, through God, such peace and the intimacy of Our Loving Jesus? Oh Yes, Only God. Thank you Lord and thank you Fernando Ortega for using Gods gifts in you, for Gods WONDEROUS GLORY

10 years ago I arranged Jesus, King of Angels and Joy to the World into a wedding processional for my daughters best friend. She married in a large church and I played the piano and took my best student to sit at the organ and play the chimes at the end of Joy to the World. I believe that Jesus, King of Angels came down that day and blessed all of us. It was the most amazing gift from the Father. Blessings on you Fernando for writing that song of worship. (36:19)

God allowed him to go through such anxiety so as to minister to others of us when we get so anxious about things. He has been blessed by God. We all go through things that are allowed by God to help others going through the same.

He used to sing at our church. Great sense of humor. Loved it when he sang the old Hymns that are legendary. His voice brings you to the throne room of God. So talented.

There is no one like Fernando Ortega for music that ministers to the hurting soul and lyrics that focus on the source of all strength and comfort, Jesus! Thank you and God bless you Fernando.

We spent an Evening at The Cove with Fernando Ortega this past weekend. His music is superbly personal. I wanted to hug his neck.

I do not know how exactly to describe how this man does what he does.But although there are other Christian song writers and singers that I love. Fernando Ortega can cause my heart and spirit to feel the presence of The Lord. Just as if He was sitting relaxed with me and listening with pleasure.

You have always blessed me with your beautiful voice. One encouragement was Don't let me come home a stranger. I'd listen in my headphones so I wouldn't disrupt my husband's sleep. Now that Jesus has taken him to get some much deserved and needed peace, I have my voice again. I can sing at the top of my lungs. I thank God every morning for the sweet sounds of your voice. Someday, you will know. But there is much going on, I rest in the knowledge that when it's time, I'll rest and sleep, awaiting for the one true king to wake us.

Praise God I found Fernando Ortego here on KZfaq. I attended some of his living room concerts when I lived in San Diego county in the late 1980s to early 2000s. I often listen to his early CDs and longing for worship such as his today. Thank you Cornerstone Television Network and thank you Fernando!

This brought back so many memories!! I love this man's ministry (and voice) and had several of his CD's. I even got to go to one of his concerts.
