What was the thought process for finishing the panels before cutting to size?
@DesignCraftWorkshop
@DesignCraftWorkshop 2 жыл бұрын
Mainly schedule. We didn’t finalize the size early on so it was faster to finish the panels instead of waiting.

Great video again. But the music in between is way to loud compared to your voice.

Very nice work! I've seen videos where they don't glue the panels onto the wall directly but instead install backing 2x4 (or what have you) strips and glue them onto these, what difference would this make?
@DesignCraftWorkshop
@DesignCraftWorkshop 6 ай бұрын
Thank you! Having the strips would guarantee that you attach the panels onto some kind of structure. Ideally, the strips would be installed into the wall 2x4 so everything is secured. But you do have to deal with additional thickness since the panels are directly applied to the wall.

I have a question - why isn't the TV in the middle? Also, I wanted to say that your work is great and I really love it!
@DesignCraftWorkshop
@DesignCraftWorkshop Жыл бұрын
It's centered along the length of the wall. The pattern doesn't cover the entire length which is what the client wanted.

Great video! Is there a small wood strip that you used on the sides, or did you just take the plywood and run it up against the corner of the walls?

Thank you! It's a sight gap at the edge

@@DesignCraftWorkshop thanks! For someone who is a 2/100 in woodwork, what is a sight gap?
@DesignCraftWorkshop
@DesignCraftWorkshop 7 ай бұрын
@@djdynamiksoundz9166 it depends on taste. I try to keep consistent gaps so in this case it was 1/2” between all the panels

I love your videos! Ny native language isnt english and im using the metric system. So im alittle confused when you said that the dimensions are 5foot, 6inches. Is this a mistake or do i missunderstand? 6 inchess seems way too thick😅?
@DesignCraftWorkshop
@DesignCraftWorkshop 9 ай бұрын
Thank you! I believe it was the length of the boards. 5ft6in would be around 1.67 meters
