Solo Mother's Charming Tiny House Gives Financial Freedom

In this weeks episode we meet Michelle, an inspirational solo mother who has constructed a beautiful tiny home in order to gain financial freedom now that her children have left home.
With her Children now older, this new empty nester has constructed a wonderful place to call home for less than the cost of a deposit on a regular larger home. This home is beautifully constructed and designed to be totally off the grid, giving Michelle the ability to park her tiny house in more locations.
This is a great example of how downsizing into a tiny house on wheels can help to free up financial resources and assist people in obtaining more freedom in life. We hope you enjoy the tour of this very special tiny house on wheels.

One of the things that I've always loved about the tiny house movement, is the way that it can help to financially liberate people and allow them a greater quality of life through downsizing. What a really lovely lady! The whole house spoke of family love, her boys now moved on but still very much a major part of her life, all the treasures she has gathered over the years. I love the beautiful window, again the special family connection 😊 Most of all I really hope she continues to make the most of her life, staying happy and content, a really lovely lady ❤

This woman has a beautiful soul, which is reflected in her home and spiritual accents. Fortunately, once again, this tiny home was able to use family property to put the home on. That is the most frustrating challenge to tiny home living. Finding property is the key if you can afford the ticket price to purchase land or pay high lot rent in a rv park with no privacy.

at least in your country its legal to permanently live in a rv park, in my country those can only used for vacations or week-end stays....so unless you have someone in the family with a really big yard, you have to buy land, and with plotsizes meant for 'real' houses thats WAY expensive! i´ve been searching for a small, affordable plot for years, the normal, big ones would cost me twice as much as the actual home!

@actionfighters Well I agree with you, it's a bad stigma. We have to think about being there for our parents in their old age. Its easier to live near them than moving in with them. Everyone needs their own space. They will need us. Michelle had the right idea.

I wish I could have cared for my parents. Lost them in my 20s. I have missed them every single day since. I do not see this living arrangement as a bad thing at all. Not at all. It’s a blessing for her parents and for Michelle.

As we get older we realize how much we value being near our parents. They so suddenly are not there anymore and I wish so much that I had spent more time with my Dad and could be with my Mum now

I like the fact that she makes eye contact with the camera. It gives the viewer a sense of acknowledgement that someone else is there and that person is not "out of the picture by default," which sometimes experience by the camera-person. Such a beautiful house and a lovely lady :)

I have watched many of Bryce's videos and anxiously look forward to each new one. Not only are the homes very interesting but Bryce's voice is very relaxing. A part of me wishes I could live like this but I have several thousand books and it would never work. Still, I love watching these videos.

Wow! I love her choices of colors and use of plants. The colors in the big bold stained glass bring the Tiny to life. I also love the use of black trim that beautifully contrast the orange tan walls. 😍

This house is an example of "quality, not quantity". Every item in it has clearly been carefully chosen to give a pop of colour and beauty and true pleasure. The stained glass adds extraordinary beauty plus precious family connection. I'm so happy for Michelle.

I saw the Moosewood Cookbook on her bedroom shelf, I love Ithaca, NY. That’s where I went to college! Brings back memories. Adorable tiny home!! Love her bedroom layout, and the stained glass which is quirky and cool! This tiny home is beautiful! There is nothing about it that I dislike. Such a lovely hardworking woman. She deserves everything that this life has to offer. She raised her family, and is now helping her parents, is she not the sweetest person ever?!?! Great video, thank you for sharing.

What an incredible home and an incredible story! We kept our home small for the same reasons, and we're also hoping to go even smaller once our kids are grown!
