My boots were sent back for a replacement and they said, NO!!!! I said, Good Bye.... Red Wing here i come....

Ok. It’s ridiculous to think workbooks should last a lifetime. Those look to be well worn. It is a shame the boots are no longer American made with American materials But what is anymore?

I never made the statement about quality and or,, you can return them if your not completely satisfied, LL Bean made it...... With that being said, i returned them because the stitching was failing... BTW I heard from a a few men that the Red Wing boots are not much better... Oh well...Thanks for comment...

Saw an interesting video a while back, can’t remember the channel. Anyway … he cut in half, a pair of service boots form world war 1. He said that to make those boots new today, would cost $600. Got me thinking … 🤷🏻‍♂️

So whats the point...Its hit and miss with any product out of Chyna...but 85% that comes out of there is just crap...plastic, leather, metal and the like, esp electronics...go to a third world country and you will see all the crap that does not last from chyna....

I still use the boots, but i sew them myself because the company does not stand behind their warranty.

Believe it or not. I stitched them myself, oiled them and put rubber dip on toes.... like new. its been 4 years now....lol

I will say, the classic "Bean Boots" are still made in America. But the Engineer boots that are the Chippewa/LL Bean collaboration are not Maine made...sad but it's how American capitalism works I'm afraid.

Lol! What a ridiculous video. LL Bean and J Crew are built by Chippewa in the US from imported parts. Chippewa was bought out by a major American shoe company and they cut the cost with the manufacturing of their heritage boots. DON’T use heritage casual boots for work!!! That’s your mistake. It’s like wearing loafers at a construction site. LL Bean or J Crew don’t care about losing your business. You’re not special.

Their motto was lifetime guarantee. With that being said: stand behind your words... So called work boots were used just around my organic farm, nothing special or damaging. The threads came apart... Remember the motto. So how long have you been with the company? hahaha They cut their cost by using slave labor oh yes...

@@winkcrittenden6011 Ll bean offered " if ever not sattisfied with these boots" you can get a replacement or refund. What does this imply? Ll bean never said lifetime warranty because many people would take them up on it. So why do you care so much? Do you work for them?
