Yet again, another absolutely stunning lake in North Wales. None of the lakes we feature here will be a surprise to anyone living in, or coming on holiday to, North Wales, but this one in particular is really well known.
It sits next to Llyn Peris, which is right in front of the entrance to the caverns for Electric Mountain (Hydro-Electric Power Plant), which is in turn, right in the middle of Llanberis.
Llyn Padarn is home to the 'Lone Tree', (which of course is not even remotely alone), and a swathe of pretty little pools and lagoons that are ideal for paddleboarders, kayakers, swimmers and more. It's ideal for watersports, especially on a hot sunny day.
There's loads of space - it's vast.
Our visit this time was during silly season (holidays), so it was absolutely packed, however there was still a lot of space to park in the three, free car parks, and plenty of room to get out of your car, and enjoy yourself like everyone else.
I left feeling a little down, given it's impossible at the moment for me to be out on the water without a lot of support, but hopefully we'll be able to sort that out in the near future.
This video was filmed from public space, and was flown on a weekend, when military low flying does not happen. Typically the sun was behind the clouds while we were there and then cleared up completely as we left.
