SUP With Our Drone!? Cinematic Drone Footage of Friends and Family on Paddleboards - Pont Pen-y-llyn

This is the ever beautiful Llyn Padarn, a lake in Llanberis, which this time I filmed from Pont Pen-y-llyn, at one end of the lake. The sun was blisteringly hot, and we had a great time at the side of the lake. Friends and family used a stand-up paddleboard (SUP), to venture up and down the lake, as I filmed them with the DJI Mini SE with the purpose of making this video from the comfort of a blanket.
It was a great day, that was invaded by swans at the end of our BBQ, with multiple large cygnets (further video coming soon). Unfortunately, I could not venture further than the place we decided to stop, and definitely not onto the water. My family got me out of my wheelchair and sat me on the 'beach', where I rested in the shade of our large umbrella, with a cool bag and lots of fluids.
Disclaimers:
This video was flown with family and friends, who were involved in both the flights, and filming, with a sub 250gram aircraft, registered with the CAA, as is proper. This video was also filmed from public/publicly accessible space, and was flown on a weekend, when military low flying does not happen. No geofences or NOTAMs were in place.

It really is, but it's more through necessity unfortunately. I'd have been flying from the paddleboard if I could have safely gotten on it. Thanks for the comment. :)

Thanks Emma, great drone footage as always, I'm glad the weather has cooled down a bit, cause as much as I enjoy the sunshine its terrible at night for sleeping when it's to warm!😁, also its a struggle climbing in n out of the bath multiple times a day to have numerous cold showers! 😁lol🤣, anyway takecare!😜💜✌

Thanks a lot, yeah I'm the same, although I don't move very far or quickly, so I have been stuck having to use a fan only, which is bad when it starts to push only warm air around. Sat on that beach all day filming this video, while friends and family were in and out on the paddleboard, meant I was cooked. Loads of sun burn. Thanks as always for the support. :)

Beautiful area. The water was so clear. We visited Llanberis once to see the Electric Mountain tour, it's a great area.

Yeah this is nearly right at that point. Maybe a mile up the valley is Electric Mountain (great tour that too). It's a stunning place, but in summer it can become difficult to get to the water just because of the sheer number of people. Beautiful though.

Hi Phil, thanks so much - how's things? I'm not sure what the seat is as it's my friends SUP, and I think it came with the board. I can ask him when I chat to him soon though, and let you know. I was unable to go out on the water, as it was slippy, stoney, and I wasn't very stable unfortunately, so I stayed on the beach all day. I'm looking forward to SEAS instead. :)
