Hi
This Mini One came to me with several issues... this is the video for the first one...
Engine light on, engine idling bouncing badly and stalling...
Several codes stored in the engine module, the first one I decided to tackle was this 2982 error...
Follow me on this video to find out what was the problem and how to resolve it.
Hope you enjoy the video.
Any questions or comments put them below.
Like always, thank you for watching!

@@neilmurphy845 It depends if you're buying a "ling-long" part yes you're right however if you're buying a high quality part, like Febi and the like then they work just as good. However if you do buy a "ling-long" part and it works then good but from my personal experience on a Thermostat I got for an Audi from ECP for £3.49 and it failed in an hour and then spent £14 on a Febi one which is still going strong 4 years on.

Also, check the timing chain, a stretched chain causes untold errors to affect sensors, especially the 02 sensor on the manifold (if you replace the sensor(s) it will only reappear soon after, until you fix the chain), which causes very rough idle and misfires due to un burnt fuel passing over the sensor as the timing is out - just fitted new chain and tensioner, and a 02 sensor on my 2009 1.4 MINI, with 145,000 miles on - runs great now. These MINI's can stretch their chains even after 30,000 miles, so regular oil changes and even top ups (as they burn some also) helps dramatically, ive owned my MINI since new, and this was the original chain until 144,000 miles

Hi, great video. I have a Astra G with a Z16xe engine, it cranks too long at cold and sometimes when the engine is warm. Is it normal for a Coolant Temperature Sensor to read a lower temperature than real temperature? Example my sensor is reading like -1°C (with the cold engine) when the temperature in my area is like 6°C? I suspect the Coolant temperature sensor!

OK... If you still have the 2982 error after that, I can only suggest to scope and see what is going on... Obviously, I am guessing you have already checked wiring, plugs etc... If the signals are good, along with the wiring, you might need to consider a bad ecu...
