Nice one and thank you for the pointer. Some time back I heard that they having delays to get the belts here in the UK but it looks to be solved now. I want to get a demo bike and try out the belt drive as the chain drive for me was a bit on the loud side. Especially if you ride at a MTB park.

Oh yes this is an awesome ride. Just hope the weather stays good so I can get out again this weekend. I would also like to try this one with the belt drive conversion on. People say its a great upgrade. Thanks for the comment.

Many thanks for the feedback. Yes me too lol. I am so keen to get out on a MTB trail but the weather at the moment does not play along. But I am going to try. This bikes does not have any trouble on the power side. On a part of the trail I was leaning forward and opened the throttle and the back wheel just goes nuts. Awesome to have that.

Interesting as I have not spotted this conversion kit. I will check it out. On what bike did you install it? I did find with the LMX is that the chain is loud and when you are at a bike park it gets allot of looks. You do get the belt conversion but that does not last long and I think the chain is the best option for the muddy UK trails. I had some mixed feedback about the looks of the bike. Some say they like the look and some say the layout is ugly. I was happy with the looks. The price was also good for what you get compared to the basic e-MTB's out there that also come in at £4k.

I had a SurRon for about a year and did about 1500 miles on it. I used it for going to work and back. Great little bike but the problem is that its not a e-MTB. So you cannot really go next to the canal or out to the MTB trails as its more a e-Bike than a e-MTB. On the LMX64 you can ride it like an e-MTB and go anywhere. Its just an awesome bit of kit. Load of power and can be used in moped mode. SurRon - More e-bike than e-MTB - Road and offroad version - Road version needs license, insurance and a big old lock so they dont carry it away as it comes in under 50kg. - Insurance was the same as my Street Triple with only fire and theft - Weatherproofing is not that great and caused a few errors in dead of winter - But an awesome bike if you want something fun and cheap to run. - Replaceable batteries - Top speed about 45mph with the unlock, without the unlock its 30mph LMX64 - This is a e-MTB with massive power - 180mm travel front and rear - Power assist modes and full throttle mode - Speed up to 30mph legal moped speed - Road and offroad versions. Also a downhill big travel version - Cheap to run as all parts are MTB parts - Heavy for an MTB 27kg (remove battery drops the weight by 4kg) - French brand and parts are easy to come by when they sort out this brexit thing. - Weatherproofing can bee better but if you look after it its good. - Belt and chain drive. Belt drive is nice and quiet. I had the LMX for 4 weeks and loved it and its the bike I would spend my money on as I can use it anywhere without being looked at funny. You can shred up the trails and cycle to work with min effort. The SurRon is awesome if you have a place where you can go and ride it close to your house. Hope this helps. @@Andre-Mostert Hi Andre, thanks for all the time to answer that for me. Ahh yes I really get what you’re on about re use case for the Sur-Ron against a E-MTB. I originally wanted a Sur-Ron for the work commute. The e-bike does seem to have a bit more going for it in the ability to be able to use it in more circumstances. I really need to try one out. I have osteoarthritis of the hip and knee so I’m not sure about the pedalling. I had to give up road bike cycling because of it, I still go to the gym and swim etc but the fixed cyclic movement was a killer. So I need to see if the assistance of the e-bike will be enough. How hard do you have to pedal to get the bike to move? and how fast do you have to pedal? Cheers

On this one and most of the e-mtb's you dont really have to push hard to get it going and with this one you have the different levels of assistance. The mode 5 is just throttle so no need to peddle at all. In the other modes is a light spin to keep it going on a flat road and on hills you can then up the assistance if you require more. I was keen for a Specialized Turbo levo but the LMX64 gives me the option to use it for getting to work and also have some MTB fun without having to put in too much effort. Chat to the guys at Stagmotorcycles and they have demo bikes. Steve is a great guy and super helpfull.

haha I think that is the way forward. I hope for a red on to become available. Blue is good but I dont want the full road oriented version.

Many thanks for the feedback. I will have to work at it to do better. I did just listen to it and the chain noise and the music is not great. I will have to change it up for the next one.

I am all up for feedback and what you say does make sense. When I watched it back now it does not fit when you have the noisy chain drive and the music trying to compete. I need to go and try out the belt drive when they are available as this should make a massive difference.
