Russians protest against Putin as Russia's southern city of Orsk, in Orenburg, continue to struggle with floodwaters that have forced thousands of residents to be evacuated. Water levels are expected to peak shortly in the Russian city of Orsk.

The big problem with Russia is that its such a huge country with a lot of old soviet infrastructure that at one point will fail since they won't have money to rebuild them. So damns, bridges, tunnels, even buildings and other infrastructure are undermaintained and due to repair already. Just go to any smaller (100k residents) russian city and you will understand what I am talking about.

Maybe not opening sluices into Kazakhstan in an attempt to reduce the self-inflicted flooding in the terrorist federation would have made the Kazakhs better disposed towards their thuggish neighbour to the north, but I think that ship sailed a long time ago.
