This gotta be the most saddest fight in Death Battle history man, this matchup shouldn’t even happen in the first place bruh. Jonathan and Tanjiro would be good friends, they’re both kindhearted and this fight happened all over an misunderstanding what the hell man

The misconception is that there are only a couple of breathing styles that create the element, which are sound and wind. All the others do not create the element, just mimic it.

Come on man that ending was perfect and I'm a Demon Slayer fan so I thoroughly appreciate them going out of their way to have Jonathan finish Tanjiro in a gentle peaceful and respectful way and even having an open ended ending with nezuko cause yes she did see him kill Tanjiro but she is on that spell that has her treat humans like family so it's up in the air on whether Nezuko goes with Jonathan or not like would you rather have Jonathan kill Tanjiro in the usual Death Battle brutal way or have a gentle respectful death just my opinion tho

The whole 'effect' thing is weird. The author claims they're just effects, but there's a bunch of times when they're clearly not, such as when Tanjiro was being tossed around by the arrow demon and was using the water forms to not just adjust his momentum but also to soften his impacts, which wouldn't be possible if they were just effects. Another time was when Rengoku used the flames from the 4th Fire Breathing form to block Akaza's shockwaves, which again shouldn't be possible unless they're actually creating something

@Struggler It really isn't, not when Tanjiro is softening his impacts WITHOUT touching anything, only by swinging his sword. And CERTAINLY not Rengoku blocking shockwaves that hit well AFTER he swings.

It probably creates a invisible but physically there energy that corresponds to what element the breathing is. When giyu was doing his 11th form, even though he didn’t make any actual water we saw him shining bright from the povs of Tanjiro and Rui.

Its pretty clear the reason was that he thought Nezuko was one of Dio's own ghouls/vampires. Believing Tanjiro to be under his control. Throwing an in character Johnathan under the bus like that is a bit disingenuous. Death battle being what it is couldn't clarify it.

Basically yes. They do specifically state that any character who has a code of like... No killing or something like that would be removed. An example, Aang is a pacifist (according to the final arc, because he DEFINITELY didnt kill a ton of people in the first three books), but when he fought Ed, he went all in for the killing blow

5:36 the person whos feat is taken from is inferior in abillitys And they dont have similler abillitys they have the *exact same abillity* Even if you ignore this feat bruford someone who jonathan overpowerd and outspeeded was capble of dodging hamon wich would still make jonathan realatevistic

Some peoples say that when DIO take Jonathan's body and have taken hits from Star Platinum and many crazy stuffs with Jonathan's body and said that DEATH BATTLE is going to use that for this battle. And if that so than Jonathan is going to win. But I don't get why that is. Because wouldn't Jonathan's body grow and evolve more differently with DIO than it did when Jonathan was alive. Couldn't someone please reply and explain all of this to me so I can have a better understanding.

Dio lost all of his abilities except his stand. Regeneration now doesn't happen unless he drinks blood and physically reattachs the body part. Which means the body he uses (Jonathan's) is the one who is actually CAPABLE of all this crazy shit. But, even if you want to discount that, Jonathan dodged Dio's Laser Eyes tjsg were aimed at his neck, while he was not expecting them at all in the SLIGHTEST, which means he is either near light speed or at it. Other than that, the feats they show are all legitimate. Tarkus couldn't break the collar around his neck, and Jonathan did so effortlessly.

@@elmostherapist8403 Demon Slayer doesn't have a ton of things that can be related to other anime. Other than Swords and Undead killing... But all anime that involve that have crazier shit happening. This may have been the only match they could think of that wasn't Demon Slayer getting totally stomped by the other combatant

it arguably would be weaker actually, seeing as it was unnatural and was actively rejecting him. plus he already fought on par with him before that, if not outmatching Dio. the only thing that Dio would have new at that point is his stand and better regeneration, if it is even any better, neither of which were used for Jonathon's scaling anyway

The fact that he couldn't remove his Sword out of Jonathan is just a lie mf was moving a boulder 2× the size of Jonathan but some flesh and muscles were able to stop him? Plus they didn't even put tanjiro's full strengh while they made Jonathan op while they didn't show anything to prove that he had these sorts of feats
