LOCKDOWN EXTENDED To May 25 Along With It Some Easing Of Restrictions

San Juan, Puerto Rico - April 30, 2020 - The lockdown will be extended until May 25 and curfew hours start from 7:00 pm to 5:00 am. Learn about the changes that will take effect starting on Monday, May 4, 2020.
Here are some key points from the changes:
- From next Monday, lawyers, notaries, engineers, and accountants will be able to offer their services.
- Jobs related to mortgage financial services, insurance, real estate agents, and brokers will be allowed.
- Hardware stores, maintenance, repair, inspection, and sale of vehicle parts will be expanded to the public from Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with the same precautionary measures, and by appointment. The same will apply for laundry services, including “laundries” and “laundromats”; ornamental agriculture, and research in laboratories of university institutions.
- Moving services inside and outside of Puerto Rico will be allowed; elevator inspection work; repair and installation services of air conditioners.
- Transportation services, limited to taxi drivers, and public carriers who deliver merchandise and vehicle inspection centers.

Does anyone know what's happening with the water? On and off for a few days, foam came out of the faucets, scary. Yahoo had an article that PR is nearing a shortage and citizens are asked to conserve water.

It's a good idea to keep a watch on the levels of water here...www.acueductospr.com/web/guest/niveles-de-los-embalses Depending on water levels they may begin to restrict water use.

That's good news. I hope people follow the rules about masks and distancing. I will be there in May so good to know my permanent move will go more smoothly. I will be there right before the 25th.

I trying move there too was there thru earthquake n left at start of it in end March but was in my dad's most time n when here since December seeing n hearing china flu seeing them come in bunches from airport wearing masks I didn't want be near them or touch train poles or be near anyone coughing sneezing .afraid go they gonna force me 14 days quarantined hotel.i want be with my dad n here wearing mask since this whole April n gloves

There are many tourists coming in to Puerto Rico have the virus using drug to lower fewer and cought , I recommend a government hotel for 14 day to clear them for safety of PR.

Appreciate the update. Don't believe enough stress is being placed on masks and distancing, because of what I am seeing. People understand when it affects their wallets. Some countries issue violations. Thank you PRHN reporter. Health and safety always...

Valeree Hansen people should be free to do want they want , if you want to wear a mask do so if not that’s ok this is not china we have rights , if you believe in God when it’s your time it’s your time live your life if you’re an atheist let national evolution take place, nobody should have the power to tell you want to do God gives me free will and man takes it away

@@joeyaccetti7213 agree, unless what people do compromises my safety. I guess it depends, if you believe masks and distancing protects a person from the virus. Some people think the virus is a big experiment. Who knows. My mindset, at this time, is that it's serious and I need to protect myself as best as I can.

People need to learn how to wear the masks. The nose sticking out on the thumbnail is not useful. Nose and mouth should be covered. No mask touching. Remind your people.
