Come along for a ride in the Canadian Rockies on board the Rocky Mountaineer Passenger Train! Our locomotives for this trip are the RMR 8016 (GP40-2R) and RMR 8012 (GP40-2LW).
We start out at Gap, AB on the Laggan Sub with a passenger pick up at Banff, AB from there we continue west in the rockies towards Field, BC for a crew change. Take in the sights and sounds of everything we see along the way. Enjoy the ride from the head end.

Great video Love this part of the world and it's great to see it from the in cab perspective. A trip on the RMR is definitely a bucket list item for me.

Cool video. How were you all able to trail so close behind the intermodal at 32:26? Arn't there block signals that prevent that?

Thank you! 🙂 The block signals allow us to continue moving at a much lower speed but we need to be able to stop half the distance of another train ahead of us.
